Fletch lifted and dropped one shoulder, trying to appear unthreatened. “Guess not. Don’t you think you’re gonna step on some toes settin’ up so close to Shadow Valley?”

Wolf’s dark eyes shuttered. A clear sign he didn’t want to share the Demon’s true intentions on creeping northward. “Tell your prez we ain’t movin’ in on their territory. Might kiss it but we ain’t fuckin’ it. You get what I’m sayin’? Don’t need them on our backs.”

“I’ll pass on the word, but ain’t sayin’ he’ll be okay with that.”

“He ain’t got a choice.”

For fuck’s sake. Zak Jamison and the goons who flanked him weren’t going to like that news. Fletch yanked on his chin. “Ain’t for a nobody like me to decide. Like I said, new to the club. Got no power. Got no say. Best I can do is pass it on.”

Wolf nodded. “You do that. Ain’t lookin’ for war. Just need a neighbor that minds their own business. They mind theirs, we’ll mind ours.”

“Will pass that on, too.”

“Speakin’ of business… Heard you’re lookin’ to score for your ol’ lady.” Wolf flicked to Nova and back while thumbing his nose.

“Yeah, she got a slight sweet tooth, but it ain’t only for her.”

“Thought she was addicted to sugar an’ that’s why you’re lookin’.”

Fletch’s eyebrows shot up his forehead. “She look like a sugar addict?”

Of course that had Wolf doing a slow, thorough roll from Nova’s head to her boots again. “Just repeatin’ what I heard.”

Nothing like talking about a woman like she wasn’t right there listening. That had to piss Nova off. But thankfully, she wasn’t interjecting and only biding her time. “That’s only what I told that Boz guy. Didn’t want him knowin’ the real fuckin’ reason. Ain’t his business, an’ better that way.”

“How much you lookin’ for?”

Fletch scratched his bearded chin and pursed his lips. “How much you got?”

When Wolf hesitated and his eyes sliced through the immediate area around them, Fletch pivoted quickly. “Just need a sample for now. If it’s good shit, might be lookin’ for more.”

Wolf frowned. “Angels don’t run drugs or guns. They’re a fuckin’ stain on the rest of us since they wanna be squeaky fuckin’ clean. A buncha wannabes pretendin’ they’re pit bulls when they’re nothin’ but a buncha kicked puppies.”

Fletch pulled his head back and stared Wolf down. “The fuck we are. My prez is fuckin’ smart enough to make sure our club flies under the pigs’ radar.” He cocked an eyebrow. “Unlike some others with more members inside than out.”

“Now that I think about it, you kinda look like a fuckin’ pig.”

“Last I checked, a pig’s pink, fat and tasty. Ain’t none of those things.”

Nova purred, “Oh, you’re tasty, baby. I can vouch for that.” She reached back, grabbed his crotch and squeezed.

Fletch grinned. “Yeah, baby, ain’t nothin’ better than when you deep throat my fuckin’ dick. So fuckin’ good at it.” He added a wink. “My woman gives the best head I ever fuckin’ had. Gotta hang on tight to a bitch you can face fuck without her gaggin’.” He sucked at his teeth. “Enough about snatch. Need to finish talkin’ business ‘fore it’s our turn at Eight Ball.”

When Wolf’s gaze remained stuck on Nova, Fletch coughed sharply, drawing the man’s attention back to him. That seemed to shake him free enough to say, “Can hook you up with a sample. You like it, then what?”

“If it’s good shit, gonna be lookin’ for a steady supply.”

“What’re you talkin’?”

“Enough to make it worthwhile. Need to bring in some extra scratch on the side. What the club pays me is shit. Practically fuckin’ slave labor. Need to start a little side hustle to make life a bit sweeter for me an’ the ol’ lady. I keep her happy, she keeps me happy. Get what I’m sayin’?”

“Hear you on that. Whether you get it from us or not, you can’t be sellin’ in our territory. Gonna hafta stick in your own.”

“Plannin’ on it. Wouldn’t want to step on any other club’s toes. Know better than that. Also need to keep it on the D.L. from my own prez.”

“You goin’ against your prez’s rules can cause some shit we don’t want blowin’ back on us.”

“That ain’t a worry. Know how to handle it.”

Wolf tilted his head and studied Fletch. He made sure to keep his expression blank because the fucker was searching for a reason to tell him to fuck off. “You deal for the Fury?”

Fuck. He didn’t know much about the Blood Fury. He wasn’t sure about what that MC did for money. But whatever answer he gave, he’d need to own it. “Not for the Fury. Again, for myself. What my prez don’t know, don’t hurt ‘im and it puts a nice wad of scratch in my pocket. Hopin’ to make enough to upgrade my sled, too, now that we’re down in Shadow Valley.”
