“Mmm. That might work. It’s not a lie. I met lots of people at the Dungeon. Someone must have introduced us.”
“Are you saying you don’t remember the day we met?” he asks with mock horror, causing his eyes to widen as he leans back.
I giggle. “I remember, Daddy. Don’t be silly.”
He lifts a brow, challenging me. Did he forget I’m not a good liar already?
“I was in the playroom with several other Littles, and you came in with Josie’s Daddy. You had been assigned as a Dungeon monitor for the playroom that night. You were wearing black jeans and a dark purple shirt. Your hair was slicked back and damp like you just got out of the shower. Every time you looked at me, I could feel your penetrating gaze from across the room. I didn’t even have to look back. I knew. My knees were weak. I had to sit before they gave out on me. I tried to play it cool. I was way too shy to talk to you anyway. I assumed you would grow tired of me since I wasn’t about to look at you or talk to you.”
His smile is worth a million dollars. “Wow. You remember every detail.” He’s so pleased his face is about to split in half. He clears his throat. “You were wearing a pale blue dress. I knew you loved that dress because you kept twirling around in circles so it would flare out around you. My heart was yours on the spot. It took me a damn long time to get you to look me in the eye. I never gave up, though. You’re mine.”
I wrap my arms tighter around him and hug him so hard he surely can’t breathe, but he doesn’t complain. Instead he rubs my back, letting me have this moment.
“Will you stay the night, Baby girl?” he asks softly.
“Yes, Daddy. Will you make love to me?”
“Persistent Little girl, aren’t you.” He leans me back and smiles.
I nod. “I’ve been thinking about what it would feel like all day. I want to know.”
“Just today?” he teases. “You’ve never thought about me inside you before today?”
My cheeks heat, and I shrug. “I have thought about it before, but it never seemed that important to me until you made me orgasm. Now I’m far more curious.”
“Ah. That makes sense. But no. Tonight you’re going to sleep in my arms. Tomorrow we’re going to talk to your parents.”
I draw in a deep breath and nod. I can’t believe I’m going to stand up to them, but I will because Daddy has shown me there’s no other option.
“And I want one more thing,” he says, his brows furrowed seriously.
I smooth my hands up his chest. “What, Daddy?”
“You sleep with me from now on.”
I give him a slow smile. “Really?”
“Yes, Baby girl. I’ve waited a long time to have you. I’m not letting you go.”
“But you have to go to work. What would I do all day?”
“What do you normally do all day, Baby girl?”
I shrug. “Until school starts, I mostly read. I figure this month is the last time I’ll have a true break for a long time.”
He stares at me with furrowed brows.
“What?” I fidget on his lap. “Does it bother you that I’m a woman of leisure for the next month? I can help out around your house, too. I can cook. I mean I don’t cook well, but—”
He lifts his hand to cover my mouth, cutting me off. “Baby girl, no cooking. No cleaning either. I don’t care if you read all day. I like that idea. It will keep you out of trouble. Little girls don’t cook and clean.”
When he slides his hand down to my shoulder, I lick my lips. “You looked upset.”
“More like distressed. You said you weren’t really interested in going to graduate school, that you were only doing so to keep your mother from marrying you off. Is that true?”
I shrug. “I guess, but it’s the only plan I have for now. I could have gotten a job teaching, but I would have needed to apply months ago. School starts soon.” I tap my lips. “Although… It’s possible there are still openings at some schools. It would be a lot of work preparing on such short notice, but I guess some teachers do it.”
He shakes his head. “Zia, Baby… I’m asking you to move to the island with me in two weeks.”
I slap my forehead. “Oh, right. Seriously?” I’ve already said I want to go with him, but it’s hard to internalize all these things. Too much is happening all at once.
“Seriously. The thought of leaving you here on the mainland going to school makes me feel ill. I want you with me. If I thought graduate school was really important to you, I would figure something out to make it work, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It doesn’t sound like you’re really interested in attending.”
