Zale moved his free hand from holding her in place to part her buttocks. He scooped up a bit of her slick juices and traced a fingertip around the small ring of muscles.

“No, Daddy!”

“Do you need to use your safe word?”

Pippa covered her face and shook her head, giving Zale the green light to continue. He continued his intimate caresses for a few seconds. Zale could feel small contractions around his fingers. He knew she was close.

“Little girls always have their temperatures taken here. It gives the most accurate results,” he explained, keeping his voice steady. “The thermometer is a bit smaller than my finger, but this will give you an idea of what it will feel like.”

Zale pressed the tip of his finger through her clenched opening. Pippa’s body shook as she screamed her pleasure into the room. Talking softly to her, he gentled his touch before withdrawing his fingers.

“Such a beautiful baby. I need to hold you now, kitten.” He lifted her from her position draped over his lap and sat her in his lap. She inhaled sharply as her punished bottom pressed against his thighs.

Pippa turned and wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in the crook. He rubbed her back to reassure her as she recovered. Pressing kisses to her hair, Zale lavished her with love and praise.

“You are so brave and responsive. I am a very lucky man, little girl.”

Inside, he held his breath. Had he pushed her too far, too quickly? He rested his fingertips casually on her neck. Gradually, her heartbeat slowed. The brush of her lips against his skin calmed his worry. “Thank you for letting Daddy know you’re okay. It’s important for me to know what you like.”

“I didn’t like that,” she whispered.

“Lying earns you a one-way ticket to a naughty-girl spanking.”

She stiffened, and he knew she was considering what that would feel like. “Sorry.”

“Besides, I already know you liked it,” Zale stated firmly. “My ears are still ringing.”

“Daddy!”

“I’m just teasing you, kitten. You are the best thing I’ve ever found in the woods.”

“Do you find a lot of things in the woods?”

“We hang out under trees a lot. We can talk about my job later if you would like. Right now, I’m focused on you.”

Zale wiped her cheeks free of the moisture that lingered from her tears. “How do you feel in here?” he asked, pressing a hand between her breasts to her heart.

She was quiet for a few breaths before answering in a voice so soft he had to strain to hear it. “Crying helped. I hadn’t allowed myself to do that. When I figured out that I was in big trouble, I was determined not to let him see I was afraid. He would have enjoyed seeing my tears.”

“You are very brave, kitten.”

“Not really. I’m a chicken. Maybe a turkey for falling for the story they told me.”

“You are never to call yourself names again, little girl,” he told her sternly. “You ran when you had the opportunity to run and tried to get away before then. They used drugs to cloud your mind, or you would have realized earlier that you were in trouble. I’d bet you did some extensive searching on the internet about the company who offered you a job.”

When she nodded, he told her, “Consider all those factors before you think badly of yourself. I think you have been very brave and resilient.”

“Thank you, Daddy. I’m glad you’re home. I’m better when I’m with you.”

“I’m better when I’m with you, too.” Zale deliberately mirrored her statement. She needed to know that it was okay to have feelings or worries. Everyone did.

“Daddy needs to wash his hands. Keep working on your picture. We need a Pippa Twinner creation on our refrigerator. It’s pretty plain right now.”

She considered the plain stainless-steel door with the rules on it and wrinkled her nose. “Boring! Just rules.”

Chuckling, Zale boosted her up and restored her panties and leggings into place. Her pink cheeks as he cared for her enchanted him. He hugged her close before sending her back to her chair with a pat on her bottom. She couldn’t be more perfect.

CHAPTER 12

The men settled around the fire pit in the middle of Zale’s backyard. The crew normally met up at Jerico’s house, but Zale had asked to host this time. He was glad it was just the team tonight. At Jerico’s, a neighbor joined them from time to time.

Hopeful Savannah would be the Little he’d searched for, Zale had made it his mission to spend time with her. Unfortunately, they hadn’t made a connection that encouraged him to get to know her romantically. Savannah was beautiful and interesting. Zale hadn’t understood what was missing. But it hadn’t been there. When he’d noticed her attention lingered on another member of the team, Zale had known he hadn’t found his own Little. Zale didn’t poach anyone’s girl.
