Hollister was really getting worked up. Of course, all this was new to him. Poor thing, after what he’d witnessed earlier, his life was going to change forever.
“What are we doing?” Clay asked casually. “I don’t know for sure what Levi’s doing, but I’ve been sitting here waiting on my man to come save me.” Clay winked at Levi. “Told you he’d make it happen.” Clay popped up, groaned from the many beatings he’d gotten while being held captive, and then made his way to the man he loved. “What took you so damn long, baby?”
Indi felt a tear slip down his face. Clay did have faith in him—he’d put his own life on the line. “Hollister slowed me up.”
“The fuck I did! I’m still Batman and you are definitely Robin after this clusterfuck! I found the keys, you know,” Hollister bragged.
“We’ve got to get out of here, Clay. The Doctor is dead, and Hollister saw who killed him. None of us, especially Hollister, is safe.”
Levi jumped in. “Are you saying there was somebody higher than the Doctor? He was our main target.”
“Definitely higher up. Answering all his questions and addressing him with Sir this and Sir that. We’ve got to bounce. Now.”
Clay cupped Indi’s face, kissed him softly, and whispered, “I love you. Damn, I’ve wanted to say that for so long.” Before Indi had a chance to answer, Clay used the same trick on him that Indi had used to knock Clay out. Indi started to drop to the ground, but Clay caught him in his arms.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Hollister hissed. “He risked his life to save yours!”
“We are going to have to haul ass out of here.” Clay gently tossed the unconscious Indi over his shoulder.
“He’s going to kick your ass when he wakes up,” Hollister countered.
“Maybe. Who knows; I might like it. Whatever Indi wants, Indi will get.” Clay nodded to Levi. “Let Sky lead the way and let’s get the fuck out of here. Sky, exit!!”

They made it out of the building without seeing any security guards…which was incredibly odd. It worried Clay and Levi…and Indi when he woke up. Clay had expected Indi to rant and rave about him knocking him out and not letting him handle everything by himself. He hadn’t been mad, though. As soon as his eyes had fluttered open, panic had caused his pupils to dilate. Clay had immediately assured him that they were safe. Indi’s hand had reached up and caressed Clay’s face, making certain it was his man. After that, he jerked Clay’s head down and kissed him. Hard. Long. Sloppy. Filled with all his love. When he finished, he whispered, “That was a shitty way to prove to me that I’m not helpless.”
“I never once doubted you’d get to me. Not once, Indi. Get that helpless shit out of your head. I’m not putting up with it another minute and you will never fucking leave me again. Understand?”
Indi smiled. “I was so afraid I wasn’t going to get the chance to tell you how much I love you. You don’t have to love me back, but I’m not going to hide how I feel anymore.”
“I love you, babe. How in this world can’t you already know this, is beyond my comprehension. I started falling the first day you showed up for work. Yeah, I tried denying it because I’d never had any attraction towards men before. I even denied it right up to the point I touched you that first night. After that night, I knew I was in Heaven when I was with you.”
Indi would give anything to see Clay one last time, but his memories were pretty damn good. He bet he could trace every tattoo with the tip of his finger. He easily remembered how firm and round his ass was. His pecs and strong, muscular legs. As the thoughts and images ran through his head, Indi realized he was much happier just having Clay in his arms, whether he could ever see him again. “I love you.” It was all he could think to say. Too many more words and he’d be crying like a baby.
“Well, we aren’t on the run or in a moving car, so I guess we are…?” Indi asked.
“Your place. If it’s okay with you, Hollister and the boys are going to crash here until we get things settled. Levi called everything in, and the FBI is all over the scene right now—Levi, too. You know him, he thinks he has to be in the middle of everything. The rest of the team will stay at the hotel where we’ve all been crashing. Once everything is settled here, we want you to come home with us.”
“Where are you staying?” Indi asked, wondering if he’d stay with the team instead of with him.
