Fake a fucking accent. Check.

Lie about his appearance. Check.

Wear a suit instead of his usual jeans and t-shirt. Check.

Change colognes. Check.

Fuck a guy when you’re straight. WTF.

So. Fucking. Easy.

So. Fucking. Heartbreaking.

“I need you to drive me to the hardware store, Hollister. Now.” Clay wouldn’t get away with mocking Indi another day. He was finished playing the fool. Hell, he was just…finished.

“Uhhhh, we’re both plastered. We can’t do that tonight. Can I take you first thing in the morning?”

“Call somebody. I want to go now.” If Indi didn’t start doing something to strike back tonight, he might not be able to climb out of the bed tomorrow. When the team had invaded his privacy and Clay had invaded his body, it was an act of war. It was time to fight back.

“My brothers are out of town. That leaves Levi, and I know you don’t want him involved, especially after today and what you just found out.”

Indi stood up. Wobbled. Straightened. “Call him. Now. If he won’t come, I’ll tell every goddamn person that he’s a fucking cop—especially this stupid doctor he keeps tossing threats around about.”

“That’s not a smart thing to say, Judas.” Hollister whispered. “This is me, too. Remember? I wasn’t supposed to tell you anything. Anyway, he’s DEA, not just a cop.”

“Call Mr. DEA.”

“A pack of cable ties, twenty-five feet of double braided rope, and four rigging chain fittings, please,” Indi told the clerk. “And two rolls of masking tape.”

“What color on the rope and tape, sir?”

Fucking idiot. “Does it look like I care what color it is? Just get me my stuff.”

“I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but you aren’t ever going to win Most Popular with this sour attitude you carry around. Cutie.” Levi teased. He’d been teasing and tormenting Indi ever since he showed up to pick Hollister and him up for their quick trip into town.

“Fuck you,” Indi growled.

“Yeah, maybe after we purchase your serial killer kit and discuss how to handle you and what you know about me…yeah, maybe we can fuck after that.” When he wrapped his arm around Indi, he shrugged it off. Levi was messing with him just to get a reaction. He might find that he wouldn’t care for Indi’s reaction. His body was itching to beat the shit out of Clay, but right now, anybody would do.

“I guess it would be too much for you to explain what you plan on doing with all this stuff?” Levi whispered.

“Could you please just wait in the fucking car with Hollister? I don’t need a babysitter. Hell, I don’t need you for anything.”

“Nah, I’ll wait here. It’s fun watching you get all riled up…and you are riled. Here you stand, insisting on going to the hardware store to buy bondage stuff at ten in the evening. Somebody’s got you hot and bothered…just can’t decide if it’s in a good way or bad way.”

“Bad. Stop talking to me. You tried to have me arrested for running your fucking drugs.”

“Relocated and keep your fucking voice down!”

“Well, I just tried to relocate you to the car, and it didn’t happen. I guess life is full of one disappointment after another.” The clerk had obviously gathered the items from Indi’s list because he was back, ringing everything up. Indi paid, gathered his bags, and told Sky, “Exit.” As he followed Sky’s lead toward the door, Levi right next to him, Indi said, “If you try to open the door for me, I’ll kick your ass.”

“Funny. I was hoping you’d hold it open for me. You are younger than me. Considerably. Help an old guy out, won’t ya?”

He really needed to stop talking. If Indi wasn’t careful, he could like Levi. Friend zone only, of course. One man already owned Indi, there wasn’t room for another.

“I’ll help you out and grab the door if you’ll help me with a little something in return.” Indi suggested.

Levi laughed. “Like helping you tie up whoever the poor victim is that got you pissed off enough to purchase the mainstays of a serial killer overnight bag? If you’re tying him up for sex, I’m in. If you’re really going to kill him, I’ll have to arrest you right now.”

Indi growled. “No sex but no killing either. Will you help me or not? Don’t make me resort to blackmail like you did with me.”

“Touché.”

Indi hesitated. “Nobody touches him but me. I only need help moving him to the bed.”

“Positive you can handle him?”

“One-hundred percent positive,” Indi answered firmly. “He’ll never see it coming. Haha, get it?”

“You’re hilarious,” Levi quipped. “I also know who you are—facial recognition program a buddy of mine has. That’s the only reason I haven’t had both you and Hollister hidden away, willingly or unwillingly. I must say, Indigo Banks is a much better name than Judas Iscariot. Just saying.” Levi opened the car door, which pissed Indi off but let it slide since he’d just dropped the bomb on how easy it was for him to learn Indi’s real identity.
