“I’m glad you’re not in Breckenridge.”

I laughed softly into his shoulder. “Same. This is way better.”

“You should kiss me now.”

“Forward, Sinclair.”

“You like it, Wright.”

I grinned and kissed him. Oh, he tasted like sweet chocolate. And like coming home.

We should have stayed away from each other. This coming together and falling apart was so hard. I wanted it to stop. I’d never wanted it to be over as much as I did in that moment.

I was twenty-two. I was graduating at the end of the semester. My brothers might flip. Our families would certainly hate what was going on. There were so many potential consequences. But what was the alternative? We couldn’t hide forever. My heart couldn’t take it.

And I was so tired of hiding.

So tired of waiting.

So very, very tired.

I understood now what he’d meant at the beginning. I’d been a teenager. A freshman in college. Naive, young, and inexperienced. I’d had the entire world in front of me, but it’d been long enough to know that I wanted that world with him.

I’d come clean with everyone to have this all the time.

I just wasn’t ready to tell him yet. I didn’t want to burst the bubble that had formed around us. I’d hold off until the morning.

Right now, I’d enjoy what I had.

My hips rocked against his, creating delicious friction. My entire body was heated through now. The last vestiges of the cold gone as our bodies aligned.

“I need you,” I groaned into his ear.

“Yes,” was his only response.

He brought me to my feet, and we slipped out of our bottoms. Then, he tugged me back under the warmth of the covers and into his lap. I spread my legs and settled myself onto his waiting cock. My head tipped back in sweet relief. A moan leaving my lips as he dropped my hips inch after inch onto him.

“Fuck, baby girl. Fuck. You’re so tight.”

“Oh God,” I gasped as I rocked my hips in tight circles.

His lips came to my neck, kissing his way up the sensitive skin as he controlled my movements with his practiced hands. Our bodies knew each other. Every breath, every touch, every kiss only amplified the tension roiling off of us.

“Chase,” I whimpered.

“Going to come for me?” he asked, meeting my movement with an upward thrust that made my entire body shudder.

“So close.”

He picked me up and dropped me onto the couch, never leaving my body. I inhaled as he hit an even deeper place. Then, he took full control, driving into me. I could do nothing but match his pace and hold on for dear life. Everything got fuzzy at the edges. The cascading waves of my orgasm building up to a tidal wave and then releasing with determined passion.

I cried out and tightened my grip on him. My orgasm triggered his own, and then he buckled as he finished inside of me. Both of us panting and desperate.

I met his blue eyes with a feeling bubbling up inside of me that I’d never known before. It was almost painful with its intensity. Like I’d looked off at an awe-inspiring landscape and known peace for the first time.

That peace was Chase Sinclair.

Was this love?

There was no other word for it. I should have been terrified because I had no idea how I could feel this when so much was still up in the air. Love wasn’t fair. It didn’t care that we were complicated. It simply existed wholly and completely.

He swiped my bangs out of my eyes. “You’re beautiful.”

I touched his cheek and drew his lips to mine. Tried to convey what I was feeling without speaking the words aloud. He met me kiss for kiss, but still, I couldn’t get the words out.

“Stay,” I whispered, asking for more than the night. Asking for everything.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he promised.

And I wanted to believe him with everything in me.

Harley

“It’s so cold,” I whispered the next morning as I snuggled against Chase.

I must have kicked my feet out from under the comforter, and now, they were freezing. I pressed them against him in an attempt to get warm. He yelped and pulled back.

“Harley, you’re freezing.”

I shot him an apologetic look and moved in even closer. “Morning.”

“Why are you so cold?” he asked on a laugh. He wrapped his arms around me and drew me into his heat. “The fireplace was on all night.”

We’d let the wood-burning fireplace downstairs burn out before moving our escapades upstairs to the enormous king-size bed. The room had a gas fireplace, which regulated the temperature better than central heating. It didn’t, however, account entirely for the below-freezing temperatures and snow accumulation.

“You have to warm me up.”

“I’m going to do more than that,” he said with a laugh.

“Breakfast first though,” I murmured with a yawn. “Our late-night activities have me famished.”
