The corner of Baer’s mouth went up, and he leaned against the doorjamb. “What’s up?”

He wanted Baer. Wanted to crawl up that body and wrap his legs around his waist. Or he wanted to drop to his knees and see what Baer had going on under those jeans.

“Wiley?”

“Hmm?” He blinked at Baer, still unable to stop looking at his chest.

“You knocked on my door. Did you need something?”

“Oh, yes!” Wiley choked out a short laugh, heat rising up his neck. He hoped Baer didn’t notice the tent that had started showing in his sweats, but that wasn’t to be. Not when it was so obvious without underwear.

There was no raising his eyes to meet Baer’s. It would have been easier to just crawl back to his room and hide under the bed until all the pestilents were slaughtered and the Earth saved.

Clearing his throat, Wiley got his tongue to work properly. “I can’t get my shower to work. You wouldn’t happen to be handy at something like that, would you? You said you’ve been helping with the renovations.”

“Oh, man! I’m sorry,” Baer said instantly. If he’d been amused by Wiley’s dilemma, it never showed in his voice. There was a gentleness and concern there that actually made it easier for him to look up and meet Baer’s gaze. “You haven’t been having problems with it all week, have you?”

“No! I swear. Not a problem until tonight.”

Baer breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank God. I’ll take a look at it.” Baer led the way over to Wiley’s suite, his smile in place again. “I think Dane might have turned the water off for a little while this afternoon to work on something. Not sure what. That might have caused your problem.”

“That’s good. I’d hate to think I suddenly forgot how to use the knobs on a shower.”

Baer paused in the open doorway and winked at him. “I’m happy to show you anytime you’re feeling forgetful.”

And just like that, Wiley was tongue-tied and hard all over again. The man was walking, talking sex, and it was cruel.

In the bathroom, Baer leaned over the tub. Wiley moved closer to look over his shoulder, taking in the woodsy scent of Baer, which did nothing to help the problem he had going on in his sweats. The heat coming off Baer seeped into Wiley and warmed him from the inside out. The shifter’s skin looked smooth and tempting. Wiley lifted a hand to touch, then quickly put it behind his back.

He wasn’t paying attention to what Baer was doing—okay he wasn’t doing anything besides paying attention to the smell of Baer and the sexy curve of his spine. His tongue would fit just perfect in that groove at his lower back.

Water spewed out from the spigot in a violent shot. Wiley and Baer didn’t have time to straighten before the shower head popped off. Cold water drenched them both to the bone.

“Shit!” Baer worked to shut the water off.

When he turned toward Wiley, his wet hair was now plastered to his head while shining beads of water clung to his long eyelashes and short beard. More drops of water were streaking down his chest, and Wiley desperately wanted to lick every last one of them up.

But the fantasy ended when Baer bit his lip, humor making his eyes sparkle.

Wiley’s problem was really noticeable now with the sweats plastered to his body. Wiley wanted to look anywhere else, but Baer filled his vision. Of course, even without meeting Baer’s eyes, it was like he could feel the man’s gaze locked on his hard cock pushing against his sweats. The fucking cold water wasn’t helping a bit.

“Sorry, can’t help that,” he mumbled. There was no way in hell he’d ever been more embarrassed in his life than he was at that moment.

Wiley turned and tried to grab a towel, but he slipped on the wet floor. Muscles tensed, preparing for the painful crash into the pretty white tiles, but strong arms wrapped around him. Baer pulled him closer, and Wiley couldn’t help but groan when he was plastered to wet skin. He turned his head to look over his shoulder and was instantly drawn into the scorching heat of that green gaze.

That was when he noticed Baer had the same problem going on behind his jeans. A hard ridge was pressed to his ass. Wiley’s eyes closed as he rubbed against it. Just once.

But it was enough.

A growl came out of Baer’s throat as his arms tightened.

Neither said a word as they held completely still. Wiley was dizzy with the knowledge that his sweats hung low with the weight of the water. Only the tiniest of movements was needed to tug them down enough to bare his ass to Baer.

Baer could unfasten his jeans and…

Wiley’s moan this time was truly a sexual noise as heat raced through his body. Part of it was embarrassment, yes, but it was mostly just him being so turned-on, he could barely think. He kept picturing Baer sinking inside him. He’d be hot, hard, and thick. Wiley could brace his hands on the door and take the man deep.
