When he drops down over my body and runs his nose along that sensitive spot at the base of my neck, I almost come again.

When he rolls over and pulls me into his arms, I have just enough strength left to curl up against him and drop my head onto his chest. “Wow.” I exhale once I’m able to catch my breath.

“You can say that again.” He places a soft kiss on my forehead and hugs me closer to his warm body. The long day of travel and two strong drinks start catching up with me as my eyes droop closed.

The next thing I know, my eyes pop open as the early morning sunlight peaks through the little slit in the heavy drapes. I stretch a little, and the slight sting in my girly parts reminds me of why I’m in an unfamiliar hotel room. Oh, man.

I take in my surroundings and feel Owen’s warm, muscular body curve around mine. As his warm breath brushes against the back of my neck in rhythmic waves, I realize he’s still dead to the world. My fight-or-flight instinct kicks in, and I decide to shower and dress before I have to face the consequences of my actions.

It takes a little finagling, but I manage to slide out of bed without waking him up. I’m about to sneak into the bathroom when something on his upper arm catches my eye. Oh, man. I’ve seen that tattoo somewhere before, but my sleepy mind isn’t functioning enough to tell me where.

I lean over and squint, trying to get a better look at the gorgeous artwork. I can’t believe my eyes. I’d know that intricate W with “Wild” underneath it anywhere.

I’ve seen it a hundred times when I looked at the picture Justice Wild, my band’s lead singer, has hanging in his home studio. The freaking picture of him and his five brothers.

Sweat breaks out on my back as I contemplate my bad freaking luck. I glance over at the muscular man sleeping on the bed and squint to get a good look at his features.

With his conservatively cut deep black hair tousled from our busy night and sleep, I’m pretty sure I can see a resemblance to Justice. His square jaw covered by a dark beard and emerald green eyes also lend credence to the theory he’s a Wild brother.

Oh, shoot. Telling myself to verify before I freak out, I glance around the room, looking for the pile of our clothes.

When I find his jeans, I reach inside and pull out his leather trifold wallet, and then search for my purse and clothes. I dig out my cellphone and take it and my clothes to the bathroom.

After closing the door, I turn on the flashlight on my cellphone and take a deep breath before glancing down at his license.

My heart drops when I see “Owen Wild.” Fudgemuffin heck. I just gave my virginity to my lead singer’s older brother. Oof.

Before I’m able to give myself time to think things through, I pull on my pants and shirt. Without bothering to find my bra or underwear, I then sneak back out and grab my purse on the way to the door.

After stepping into the elevator, I glance down and notice my pants are inside out, and I’m pretty sure anyone who looks will notice I’m both braless and panty-less.

The entire elevator ride down to the lobby, I beg the universe to let me escape without anyone noticing my walk of shame. My petitions fall on deaf ears, and I find an entire sports team, coaches and all, checking out.

Luckily for me, there’s an Uber available right around the corner, so I don’t have to hang out in front of the ritzy hotel in my embarrassing outfit. The female driver gives me a once-over, and I’m pretty sure she regrets taking this assignment.

“Thank you,” I tell her as I hop in the back of the black SUV. As she drives toward my hotel, I log onto the app to add a few extra dollars to her tip.

My budget hotel is nowhere near as fancy as the ritzy hotel Owen took me to, but I didn’t want to spend extra staying at a swanky hotel.

I’ve been saving every penny since I decided to leave The Wild Ones. It’s always been my dream to open a music school, and now’s the time to do it while I still have the name recognition from my run with the popular band.

CHAPTER FOUR

radley

Once I’m locked safely in my room, I strip out of my “walk of shame” outfit and hop in the shower, hoping to wash away all my bad decisions from the last twenty-four hours. The hot shower helps refresh me, but it does very little to wipe away the embarrassment and dismay I’m feeling.
