And the first orgasm she’d experienced that she hadn’t given to herself.

She wasn’t sure which one was better.

Actually, scratch that. She definitely knew which one was better.

Her man sure knew what he was doing. And he’d done it while injured using just one hand.

Imagine how he’d rock her world when he was at full strength.

“I like that smile on your face,” he told her as he came out of the bathroom the next morning.

She’d already gotten up, showered, and dressed in some more of Gracen’s clothes. Now she was trying to tame her hair.

She really needed her stuff. Desperately.

“Me too,” she said.

He walked up behind her. He was dressed in just his pajama bottoms. She was beginning to find those pajama bottoms incredibly attractive.

“Shouldn’t you be in bed?” she asked.

“Sick of being in bed, baby.” He wrapped an arm around her from behind, both of them staring into the mirror she’d been in front of. He kissed her neck. “I liked making you come in my arms last night. But I liked it even more that you slept in my arms.”

“I know,” she whispered.

“I look forward to doing that every night.”

She turned in his arms and carefully hugged him. “Me too.”

There was a knock at the door and she tried to pull away, but he held her tight. “Come in.”

She turned her head as Regent and Victor entered. They looked exhausted. Victor was carrying a huge cup of coffee. While Regent carried two pizza boxes.

“Pizza?” she asked.

“Sal’s,” Regent confirmed with a smile. “You earned it.”

He hadn’t forgotten that he’d said he would buy her one!

“I know it’s a strange time to eat pizza, but I’m starving,” Regent explained.

“Me too,” Victor said.

“Jesus, did you guys get any sleep?” Maxim asked, moving away from her. But he grabbed her hand and led her to the bed. He sat on it, resting against the headboard, with her tucked in next to him.

“Nope,” Victor said. “I’m heading there in a minute. Gotta convince Gracen she needs a sleep-in.” He yawned. Then he took a piece of pizza.

She took one too. Yum. Delicious.

“Did you find the drugs?” she asked after swallowing a mouthful.

“We found the drugs,” Regent said with satisfaction. “Not only that, but we stole the drugs.”

“Got it all?” Maxim asked.

“Yep.”

“Shit,” Maxim said. “He’s going to be pissed. And his supplier will be even more pissed.”

“Yes,” Regent said. “But he should have thought more before selling in my territory. I’ve sent word to him that if he tries to bring any more drugs into my city, the same will happen. The police also ramped up last night. They arrested a lot of the street level pushers and sent another strong message to Leeds.”

“The fucker is screwed,” Victor said.

“What do you think his next play is?” Maxim asked.

“Well, unless he has the money to pay outright for those drugs, the cartel he is working with isn’t going to be happy. I’ve got a lead on that too. It sounds like it’s Perez who’s been supplying the drugs.”

“Fuck, he’s bad news. He won’t like this at all,” Maxim said.

She had no idea who they were talking about. But she guessed she didn’t have to know. All she wanted was for this all to be over and those drugs to be off the streets. She polished off a second piece of pizza and then sat back. It really was amazing pizza.

“My guess is that Leeds will try to run,” Regent said. “And that’s good news for us.”

She breathed out. “So it could all be over soon.”

“Very soon,” Regent said.

“I don’t know if this is a good idea.”

“Did I eat your pussy last night?”

“Maxim Malone! You did not just say that to me!” She glanced around to make sure that no one else was around.

Three days had passed since they’d found all the drugs at one of Dayton’s work sites. It had been one of the sites that she’d identified as the most likely to hold the drugs.

So, in a way, she had helped.

The day after the drugs had been taken, Dayton Leeds had been found dead in his home office. He’d shot himself.

She still felt strange about that. On the one hand, she’d stopped that drug from killing more people.

On the other hand . . . she’d played a part in Dayton taking his life.

Yeah, that was weighing heavily on her mind.

They still didn’t know who exactly had attacked Maxim, which wasn’t making any of them happy. But she didn’t know if they’d ever figure that part out.

“I made you come three times last night. Twice with my fingers and once with my mouth.” There was deep satisfaction in his voice as he slowly moved down the stairs.

“I’m not sure what that has to do with you walking down the stairs,” she said to him with a glare.
