“I want nothing more. We’ll stay here, but I’m thinking of building us another place somewhere on the land. Something bigger and a lot more private. I’m sure they heard me yelling out there.”
Cole chuckled. “I’m sure they did, too. I don’t care.”
“Yeah, neither do I. Still, I’d like us to have more privacy, and plenty of room for all your computer stuff. Got an idea for the right spot with a view of the lake.”
“I’ll be happy anywhere as long as I’m with you.” Cole stroked his thumb over JB’s puffy lips. “But there’s just one thing.”
“What’s that?”
“I don’t know if I can be with a man when I don’t know his real name.”
JB groaned and buried his face in the pillow. “Okay, but you have to carry this to your grave. I was named after my grandfather. Remember, I didn’t choose the name, and my parents were obviously having some kind of insane period or something. Probably drugs. Had to be.”
“Come on, it can’t be that bad.”
“Oh, it is.”
“Tell me.” Humor laced Cole’s voice.
“Jebediah Barton Alexander.”
Cole blew out a breath. “Wow. Okay, I was wrong. I don’t know if I can be with a man carrying that moniker.”
JB couldn’t help but laugh. “I told you it was bad. But you don’t have to call me anything but yours.”
“Mine,” Cole said softly as he pulled him close. “I like that.”
