Yev pulled Radek’s head back, and bit into his throat. Panic colored everything red when the sharp teeth sunk into flesh, ever deeper, and when Yev let out a low growl and sucked, holding his open mouth against the bite and lapping up the blood gushing out of Radek at an alarming rate, he almost pushed him away.

But when Yev hummed, petting Radek as if he were the most precious thing he’d ever touched, Radek’ heart filled with pure trust, belonging he’d never experienced. Pain was numbed by adrenaline, and despite the savagery being done to his body, he floated on waves of emotion more intense than he’d imagined possible. He was desired so intensely that his lover lost all sense of right or wrong in the need to claim and devour. He could die in this beast’s arms.

Life trickled out of him and straight into Yev’s mouth at a steady pace, but just as dark blots appeared at the edges of his vision, his lover pulled away with a gasp and proceeded to lap frantically at the wound and massage Radek as if he’d gotten nervous.

And then Radek came too.

He didn’t know if it was because Yev’s dick kept nudging at his prostate, or the sheer ecstasy of that dangerous bite, but Radek was grunting, wiggling under Yev and feeling no remorse over staining the sheets.

He was so overwhelmed he could’ve cried. And maybe he did, because any tears he might have shed from the emotion of it all would remain hidden in the scarf He was the only one Yev had ever knotted with. This relationship would always be special for him.

Yev held him close, his breath ragged as he touched Radek’s neck, making the freshly healed wound sting at the contact.

“I—I’m sorry,” he whispered as if he expected Radek to lash out the moment he was freed of the knot.

“It’s… I just… That was unexpected,” he whispered, still shocked.

“You didn’t fight,” Yev said, and there was definitely a veiled question in that statement.

Radek considered it despite his mind still scrambling back to reality. He hadn’t. And not only because it would have been futile in his vulnerable position. “I trust you with my life. You already saved me once.”

Yev swallowed loud enough that Radek could hear it, and tightened his arms, keeping them so close their hearts started beating in sync.

“Mine,” Yev mumbled as they rolled to their sides, nipping on Radek’s jaw before he grabbed it with one hand and arched so they could share an intense kiss.

This fuck wasn’t just amazing. It was life-altering.

As they kissed, all the puzzle pieces scattered in Radek’s heart fell into place, revealing to him the bigger picture he’d never expected to see.

He tickled Yev’s stomach with the tips of his fingers, slowly melting inside as he came down from his high and into a pleasant buzz that he already knew would last at least half an hour, because that was how long it took for the knot to shrink.

“Yours,” Radek whispered back into Yev’s lips.

Yev smiled against his cheek, cuddling up to him with a soft hum, as if he’d never heard anything that pleased him more. He nuzzled Radek’s shoulder and started lapping at the wounds he’d made with his teeth, since that sped up healing, to the point that hours later they weren’t recognizable as recent injuries. If he told anyone about this, they’d say he was crazy to accept the marks as part of sex, but what was going on between him and Yev was somewhere beyond human understanding, so human rules didn’t apply.

“I can only do this with you. You won’t freak out. You understand,” Yev whispered.

“I do. I’ve never met anyone as intense as you. I love that,” Radek said in a small voice, shier about the word love than he could ever be about having Yev’s thick dick deep inside him.

Yev kissed his neck, gently petting Radek as they lay together, still joined while satisfaction settled in their flesh. “It makes me feel like I’m whole. Like this is what I’m supposed to feel like as a man with his mate.”

Radek’s heart beat so fast at the words despite his neck being still tender.

“No one can ever know the truth about me but you. It’s freeing to know that you see all of me.”

Yev sighed, slotting his fingers between Radek’s. “We have a real limited dating pool now, don’t we?”

Radek's stomach sank, but he pressed tighter against Yev. “It’s not the only reason why we’re here though, is it?”

Yev squeezed his hand. “No.”

Tension he didn’t know he’d been holding released from Radek’s muscles. “For me too. Don’t laugh, but I’ve never had a real boyfriend. I’m not saying you are, or that you should be,” but I want you to be mine, “but I like the stability of knowing we’re exclusive. I always thought I was too outgoing for that. That the only way to live life to the fullest would be to constantly find new lovers, but it’s never made me feel the way I do with you.”
