“Jesus Christ, I’m taking you too hard. I’m no better than a beast. This is what could have happened to you out on the road,” he says, sinking his teeth into the side of my neck, driving into me in a fury. “The only difference is I licked it first.”

“I love what you’re doing to me, Daddy. Don’t stop.”

“Call me Daddy again and I’m warning you, darlin’, I won’t be able to pull out. And listen to me good, if I come inside of you, don’t you dare try and leave this farm. I will bring my pregnant woman home and weld a ring onto her finger.” His jaw bunches up, muscles flexing in his cheek. “My God, listen to that little squeak every time I put these inches in it. I’d sell my soul to fuck you silly for the rest of my life.”

I don’t know what comes over me.

I don’t know what possesses me, but I’m not thinking clearly right now.

I’m overcome by the rising tide inside of me. By this man.

This big, incredible man who has two sides. Decent and dirty.

And I hunger for them both, so I disregard his warning. Purposely? I don’t know.

“Make me squeak louder, Daddy.”

His roar erupts in the bedroom and his hips move faster, harder, pinning me to the bed with merciless drives. The veins in his throat and chest turn stark, his muscles straining, and he throws his head back, coming inside of me with so much force, I scream, my core cinching up like a vise around him, milking, milking his driving shaft as I orgasm, my moisture flooding the place where our bodies join, where he thrusts into me in a frenzy, overflowing me.

Owning my body.

Taking my heart prisoner.

And when he drops on top of me, panting, praising my body, I recognize the possible consequences of what I’ve done. I’ve set something new into motion. An irrevocable change.

…if I come inside of you, don’t you dare try and leave this farm. I will bring my pregnant woman home and weld a ring onto her finger.

I don’t doubt Dusty for a second.

Part of me even feels alive just thinking about. Being this honorable man’s wife.

Living here on this magical farm.

But don’t I owe it to myself to keep following my dream? Everyone doubts me, even my own mother. I don’t want to quit and hear I told you so. I’ve scraped by for too long to give up simply because I’ve met a man. I don’t want to be taken care of. I want to work. Succeed. And this role that I’m gunning for is so cool. A female detective named Finlay, out to deliver some vigilante justice. Anyone would kill for that part!

Even as I snuggle into this big bear of a man, I know what I have to do.

I have to sneak out.

I have to run before he wakes up.

Dusty

My heart speeds up the moment I open my eyes.

I’m overwhelmed with the privilege of being in bed beside Bianca.

So much so that I have to breathe in and out for several seconds before turning over.

Have I been going through the motions of life? I thought I was happy, but no. This is happiness. Waking up in the morning and knowing the most incredible woman alive is asleep beside you. I’m going to kiss her everywhere. I’m going to make her a giant breakfast, then spend the day on top of her.

My dick slithers in the sheets, thickening and standing on end.

The muscles of my stomach tie in knots remembering how she called me Daddy, even after I warned her to stop. I told her I wouldn’t pull out and she did it anyway. That was her way of telling me she wants to stay. She wants to remain on the farm and be mine forever.

She could already be pregnant.

I bite my wrist to muffle the moan that swells in my chest. I don’t know what I did to receive this reward from God, but I’m not going to question it. I’m simply going to spend my life making sure I don’t take Bianca for granted. Starting now.

I turn onto my side carefully, not wanting to crush her with my weight—

And alarm pinches the back of my neck.

She’s not there.

I remain very still for a moment, listening, trying to determine if she’s in the house. When I don’t hear anything, I’m out of bed like a shot, stomping naked into the kitchen and wrenching open the front door of the house.

Her car is gone.

Denial and panic slam into my solar plexus, a cold sweat breaking out along my brow.

No. No, no, no.

She left? She left after I might have impregnated her?

A bellow of denial echoes across my property and I almost rip the door of the hinges, just for something to do with my hands, other than tear my hair out. A terrible pain spears me in the center of the chest. The kitchen spins around me.
