He let out a low rumble of approval that tightened her nipples. “Good girl.” He fucked her with his fingers. Pounded them into her pussy. The whole time, he toyed with the rest of her body like it was his playground—paying particular attention to her breasts, nipples, and thighs; scratching, slapping, and squeezing.

“Pinch my wrist if it gets too much.” His thumb and finger pressed down on her carotid artery.

Her eyes shot open. Her breath caught. A wheeze escaped her. And she came. Fuck, she came. Hard. Her orgasm burst over her, so damn intense she thought it’d never stop.

He soothingly stroked her neck. “You did good, baby. Very, very good.” He raked his teeth over her shoulder. “Now it’s my turn.”

Aspen suddenly found herself on her knees in front of the coffee table. He clawed off her panties, scoring her flesh. She heard a zipper lower, and then he was kneeling behind her. She felt the thick head of his cock bump her folds. Oh yes, fucking finally.

He slammed deep into her pussy, forcing his way past swollen tissue, and the slice of pain made her head snap up. She couldn’t quite hold back the wince as he began hammering into her. The hurt quickly faded, buried under the onslaught of pleasure.

She angled her hips so he could plunge even deeper, wanting him buried as deep as he could possibly go. She loved that he trusted her enough to let go like this; that he trusted she’d tell him if it was too much.

Trust wasn’t easy for someone like … oh fuck, another orgasm was coming her way—building and coiling and winding her tight. Frantic to come, she threw back her hips to meet every thrust.

Camden’s hand came down hard on her ass. Then again. And again. And again. Until she flinched with a loud wince. Growling, he dug his fingers into the burning flesh of her ass and sank his teeth into the back of her shoulder.

The pain threw her over the edge and sent her soaring. She violently imploded with a scream, distantly aware of him exploding inside her. Her head fell back, her eyes went blind, her claws sliced out and dug into the wooden table. The pleasure went on and on and on. And then finally it subsided.

Panting, she slumped forward and rested the side of her face on the cool surface of the table. Damn, she didn’t think she’d ever come that hard in her life. It had drained both her and her bearcat. The animal was now dozing.

He smoothed his hand over Aspen’s stinging butt and pressed kisses along her upper back. “You okay?”

She hummed. “More than.”

He lapped at the bite mark on the back of her shoulder. “Who would have thought you could follow instructions so beautifully?” he said, a teasing note in his voice.

It would be fair to say she didn’t like being told what to do unless it was a case of taking orders from her superiors—she respected the chain of command. “I can do it when it suits me. But it rarely does.”

He gently pulled her toward him and curled his arms around her, keeping her back pressed to his front. “Bed?”

“The movie hasn’t finished yet. We had a deal.”

“You can’t still intend to hold me to that.”

“You swore you’d watch it all with me,” she reminded him.

“Your eyes aren’t even open.”

Oh, yeah. She forced her heavy eyelids to lift, but they tried to flutter shut. She wasn’t sure if it was a chemical thing or what, but those orgasms had left her feeling as sleepy as they had sated.

“How about we watch the rest tomorrow?” he suggested.

“No. Now.”

“Your eyes are closed again.”

She snapped them open. “They are not.”

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Staring down at her cell the next morning as she lay on her stomach, Aspen blinked. “Huh.”

“What?” asked Camden beside her, ghosting his fingertips over her bare back.

She returned her phone to the nightstand. “That was a text from Havana. Apparently, Aimee is telling everyone that Grant will be leaving for a short vacation in a couple of days.”

Camden’s brows lifted slightly.

“That’s good news, right? I mean, it suggests he’s seen the light.”

“I’d say so, yeah.” Camden traced the bumps of her spine. “No shifter would leave their mate’s side when said mate was in danger. You have a lot going on around you right now. But if he’s comfortable heading off somewhere regardless of that, he’s finally faced the truth.”

“I’ll be relieved if he truly has accepted the situation. Not simply for my sake, but for his own. Plus, it means I don’t have to worry that he’ll challenge you again.”

Camden gave her an affronted look. “Like I’d struggle to handle him.”

“Oh, it’s quite clear you can overpower Grant. But I’d still rather you didn’t have to duel with him again. I don’t like seeing you get hurt.”
