I had a problem choosing a cake design but I narrowed it down to five. I had this crazy obsession for us to have the perfect cake. When Hank told me to let him pick, relief filled me because I knew putting it in his hands would mean it would be what I wanted. He knows me better than I know myself and he makes everything perfect.

“We have a moment, Sugar.” He fixes his slacks and puts his cock away before he sits down on a chair and pulls me onto his lap. “They’re still letting everyone in. We’ll go in a couple of minutes.”

“I’m sorry, but the baby wants cake now.” I point to my stomach that shows no signs of a baby. No one knows I’m pregnant but Nikki, but I tell her everything. We found out a week ago and we’re keeping it under wraps.

“Oh my God, we should do a gender reveal with a cake where you cut into it and whatever color the cake is inside is the sex of the baby!” I yelp. Why haven’t I thought of this sooner? Probably because I’ve been in wedding mode and only found out about the baby recently.

“Your mom sure got it right when she named you Sugar.” He leans in, stealing another taste of me. My name annoyed me at one time, but the way Hank says it always makes it feel so special.

“I’m only sweet for you.” I had no idea there was this kind of love out there. I get why my mom was always trying to find it. Maybe this new guy she’s with will stick.

“How many babies are you going to give me?” Hank tucks one of my curls behind my ear.

“As many as you want,” I respond instantly. I was an only child and I would love to have a handful of my own. I grew up with a small family, but I love Hank’s big one. There’s so many of them and they all love each other so much. They all took me in as one of their own so easily and it’s made me want one of our very own.

“I’ll take as many as you’ll give me. Hell, I’ll build onto the house if we need to.” I love our place. It’s where he asked me to marry him and live with him, too. We started our lives there and I don’t ever see myself wanting to move.

“Let's start with one and see how we do.” I lean in, stealing my own kiss this time.

“Sounds like a plan,” he says in agreement. “Now give me a little more sugar so I can show you your surprise.” He kisses me again until he steals my breath and makes my heart flutter. I don’t think that will ever go away. God, I love him so much.

He helps me stand and smooth out my dress before he makes sure my hair is perfect. “Fuck, I want to show you your surprise, but I also want to skip this wedding reception and take you home.”

“That sounds wonderful, but after the cake.” I lean into his side and cuddle close to him. “You can feed it to me and then we’ll sneak away without anyone noticing.”

He reaches for the door and opens it. “That’s the plan.”

We walk out holding hands and we’re announced to our loved ones. My whole body warms when we’re called husband and wife, which is a title I never wanted before I met Hank. After we met I couldn't seem to get it fast enough, which is why the wedding was planned in a month. We both wanted this so badly and we knew it wouldn’t be long until we became a family.

“I don’t see the cake,” I whisper to Hank, who chuckles.

He leads us over to a huge curtain that’s the size of the wall and leans in and whispers, “It’s the surprise.” He looks to someone standing nearby with a rope and nods. “Show my wife what I’ve done for her.”

Everyone cheers as the curtains drop and mouth falls open. Directly in front of me is a huge room filled with desserts and candy on every available surface. My eyes can’t even take it all in, there’s so much to see. It’s almost as big as the reception hall and I gasp when I see the table in the middle.

“Is that five wedding cakes?” I’m shocked, but it all makes sense. Everything Hank does for me is over the top.

“You couldn't pick how you wanted the cake to look, so I did them all.”

I turn to look up at my husband and shake my head. This probably took him forever and I can’t imagine all the work that went into it.

“You’re the sweetest man in the whole world. You know that, right?” I say as my eyes water. Of course he made them all for me. He’d do anything to make me happy without question.
