This was it. Shawn needed to get out the words he’d been planning. They’d been running in a loop in his head for the past few days, but now it came to the crunch, his mind blanked out for a moment.

“So… uh, I wanted to ask you about your cam shows. Like, specifically”—he swallowed hard and forced himself not to duck away from Jude’s enquiring gaze—“have you ever done a show with another guy? Would your viewers pay more for that?”

Jude narrowed his eyes; his reply was cautious. “Um, no. I’ve only ever done solo stuff. Why are you asking?”

“Well… I could do with some extra cash. My job doesn’t pay well and I’m tired of being in debt. You said how much you earn, and it gave me ideas, that’s all. I did some research, and it looks like the whole ‘straight guy doing gay stuff for money’ is a thing that some people really dig. I thought… maybe you’d be interested in trying that.” He hurried out the final part because his face was burning hot now. He swallowed hard again. “With me,” he added. As if that wasn’t obvious.

Jude’s eyes were wide. Shawn could practically see the dollar signs flashing in them, like in a cartoon. “Seriously? Are you fucking kidding me? You’d do that?”

Shawn nodded. “Yep.”

“Have you thought it through?” Jude’s face turned serious. “It’s not something you want to do unless you’re sure. I know the Internet is a big place, but there’s always a chance someone will find out. People can screen-cap or even rip the video. Once it’s out there, there’s no taking it back. Are you prepared to take the risk?”

That was something Shawn had already been through in his head. “I’m not planning a career in politics or education. I’ll take the chance.”

“Okay. Well, if you’re sure, then I’m game. It would be a gold mine, I reckon. A lot of my viewers would tip extra to see me getting a straight guy off—unless you just want to jerk off with me, that would be okay too. I mean… it doesn’t have to be hands-on.” He sounded a little flustered.

“No, it’s cool. Hands-on is fine.”

Hands-on was definitely fine. Shawn would be okay with getting to touch Jude too, but he wasn’t sure how to bring that up. One thing at a time.

Jude’s cheeks were pink now and Shawn wondered if he was turned on by the conversation. Shawn himself was rocking a semi and hoped it wasn’t obvious.

Jude cleared his throat. “Look. Why don’t you take until the weekend to think about it? Then, if you’re still sure you want to try it, you can join me during my next show on Sunday. We can talk about it beforehand and work out how far you’re prepared to go.”

“Okay,” Shawn agreed. He was pretty sure he wasn’t going to change his mind, but maybe Jude needed time. He stood up, tugging his hoodie down to cover his hard-on. “We’ll talk at the weekend. Night.”

“Goodnight, man.”

CHAPTER SIX

Jude’s feverish imagination was in overdrive for the rest of the week. He kept replaying his conversation with Shawn in his head and wondering whether he’d dreamed it. Because fuck, the thought of doing a show with Shawn was right up there with all his favourite sexual fantasies.

It wasn’t so much a turning-the-straight-guy thing. Jude reckoned that for Shawn to be prepared to do this, he had to be bi-curious at the very least. The idea of being the one to help Shawn work himself out gave Jude a heady feeling of power. He really hoped Shawn wouldn’t change his mind.

Jude gave him space, not wanting to push him into anything, but by Saturday night he was starting to wonder whether Shawn was having second thoughts.

Finally, a knock sounded on Jude’s door while he was sitting at his desk, working on an assignment. His heart skipped a beat with anticipation. “Come in.”

Sure enough, it was Shawn. “Hi.” He closed the door behind him and stood there awkwardly.

“Have a seat,” Jude gestured to his unmade bed and spun around on his desk chair to face him.

Shawn sat on the edge of the bed. “So… I’ve, uh, decided I want to do it.” He held Jude’s gaze, and in those eyes there was a hint of something that looked like a challenge. “Tomorrow.”

Excitement rippled through Jude. “Awesome. My viewers will love it. Especially if we tell them you’ve never done anything with another guy before. Have you thought about what you’re prepared to do on camera?”

“Not specifically.” Shawn shrugged. “What did you have in mind?”

“Well, first off, are you prepared to show your face? If you’re worried about privacy, we could cut your head off with the camera angle, which would make you way less identifiable, but we’d probably get more tips if they can see all of you.”
