Jude’s smile was reassuring. “Good. Me too. I just wanted to be sure. I know this is all new for you.”

Shawn didn’t care about that any more. Here, in Jude’s bed, everything seemed simple. The rest of the world could just deal with it. “Whatever. I’ve made up my mind.”

“Awesome.” Jude snuggled closer so they were nearly nose-to-nose in the warm cocoon of duvet. “I’m really happy we worked things out.”

“Me too.” Shawn pulled Jude into his arms and kissed him again.

Really fucking happy.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

The first thing Jude was aware of the next morning was warm arms around him.

Shawn.

Jude smiled before he even opened his eyes.

The next thing he noticed was Shawn’s lips on his shoulder in a soft, sleepy kiss. Perhaps that was what had woken him. Jude hummed, snuggling back and putting his hand over Shawn’s where it lay wrapped around his stomach. “Good morning.”

This was so different from the other time Shawn had slept in his bed, when he’d bolted like a frightened rabbit the morning after.

“Morning.” Shawn’s voice was warm and raspy, like his chin where it brushed against Jude’s skin.

“You’re still here, then?” Jude said lightly.

Shawn froze. “Um….”

“That’s a good thing, idiot.” Jude rolled over to face him, grinning at Shawn’s scowl. “I was teasing.”

“Well, don’t. It’s too early for teasing.”

“What time is it, anyway?”

“I dunno.” Shawn put his hand on Jude’s hip.

“Well, how do you know it’s too early, then?” Jude stroked Shawn’s chest, loving the feel of his smooth, warm skin. He smelled good too.

“Ugh. Whatever.”

Jude slipped his hand lower, questing over Shawn’s abs to find his cock and squeeze it. “Is it too early for this?”

Shawn chuckled. “It’s never too early for that.”

Shawn was soft, but he started to stiffen as soon as Jude touched him, thickening and filling his fist as he stroked. Jude moved in to kiss him, not caring about morning breath, because he needed to feel Shawn’s lips.

Shawn didn’t seem to mind. He reached for Jude, too, and they brought each other off like that between breathless kisses and smiles and moans of encouragement. Jude came first, with Shawn following soon after. When they were both done, they kissed a little more before separating for a half-hearted clean-up. The sheets were a lost cause, but they’d got pretty sticky last night anyway. Jude planned on messing them up again tonight, so really, there was no point in worrying about it. Jizz stains never killed anyone.

After that, they dozed again for a while.

Jude slipped in and out of sleep, warm and sated and ridiculously happy until finally his stomach started to rumble.

He nudged Shawn, who was lying on his back, snoring softly. “I’m hungry. I need to get up and get some breakfast. You wanna come? Or do you want to sleep more?”

Shawn grunted and opened his eyes blearily. He patted his belly. “Yeah… food sounds good.”

They got up. Jude pulled on sweats and a T-shirt, but Shawn only had his clothes from the night before. “Wanna borrow some sweatpants?” he asked as Shawn picked up his jeans.

“Yeah, thanks.”

Jude chucked him a pair of old grey ones that were pretty baggy on him, so they should be fine on Shawn. Shawn pulled them on commando, and Jude’s attention shot to the outline of his dick. “Well, that’s distracting.”

Shawn grinned and shimmied his hips so his cock jiggled. “You sure you want breakfast? I’ve got something else you can put in your mouth.”

“Dude, tasty though your dick is, I need more protein than you can provide. Maybe later.”

As they descended the stairs, they heard voices coming from the kitchen, the deep boom of Mac’s voice followed by laughter that was unmistakably Jez’s.

“You ready for this?” Jude asked.

“Yeah.” Shawn took his hand. “Totally.”

When they walked through the door, the kitchen was crowded. As well as Jez and Mac, Dev and Ewan were there too, and even Ben. A full house.

“Good morning.” Shawn’s voice was carefully casual, but his hand, tight around Jude’s, betrayed his tension.

The others turned and there was a short silence as they took in the sight of Jude and Shawn, hand in hand.

Jez broke the silence, grinning at them. “Good night, then, lads?”

Ewan smirked. “It certainly sounded like one.”

Shawn made a choking noise and covered it with a cough.

“Oh. Were you sleeping here last night, then?” Jude asked. In the heat of the moment, he hadn’t even considered that. Dev and Ewan split their time between Dev’s room and Ewan’s in the house next door. It was typical that they were there last night when he and Shawn had been particularly loud. Good thing they weren’t trying to keep this a secret.

“Well, sleeping is a bit of a stretch given the racket you two were making. But yes.”

“Can I die now, please?” Shawn muttered.

Jude squeezed his hand. “You said you were ready to be out and proud. No shame, babe. It’s not like we haven’t heard the rest of them enough times.”
