“Anyway.” She shrugged. “It’s not hurting anyone, nobody’s being exploited, and I’m actually making people very happy.”

When Jude thought about it, he had to agree with her, and he felt exactly the same about his cam work now—or at least he had done.

Jude waited until the following night to get Shawn alone.

When Shawn went up to his room after dinner, Jude left it a little while, sitting on the sofa and half-watching TV while he worked up the courage to go and face him.

He wasn’t entirely sure what Shawn had seen, but he wasn’t taking any chances. Jude would rather be clear about what he was doing and see Shawn’s reaction for himself. He hadn’t told his housemates what he did to earn money, not because he was ashamed of it, but because he didn’t think it was their business. Plus, some people could be judgemental twats.

Speaking of judgemental twats, of all his housemates, it was fucking typical that it was Shawn who’d walked in on him, especially after the fuss he’d caused the other day over Dev and Ewan kissing.

Sighing, he got up. Right, better get this conversation over with.

Upstairs, Jude knocked loudly on Shawn’s door and waited for a response before he entered, opening the door slowly as if to prove a point.

Shawn was sitting on his bed with his laptop, and he looked up as Jude entered. Jude wasn’t sure what reaction to expect, but the slightly hunted look that crossed Shawn’s features confused him. He forged on.

“Hey,” he said confidently, determined to be in control of the situation. “So, I wanted to talk to you about yesterday.”

“Uh… yeah.” Shawn’s face turned bright red and his gaze skittered around the sides of Jude, as though he couldn’t bring himself to look directly at him. “I’m so sorry. Again. For bursting in like that.”

“Whatever.” Jude waved his hands. “Too late for that now. I don’t know what you think you saw, but I wanted to be clear about it. I do a sex cam show, and that’s what I was doing when you walked in. For money,” he added, in case that wasn’t clear.

“Oh, right. I kind of figured when I saw….” Shawn gestured vaguely at his laptop, or maybe his crotch because it was covering it—Jude stifled a grin. “Yeah. Okay.”

Shawn was still blushing and clearly uncomfortable.

Jude stood awkwardly by the bed with his hands in his pockets. “Look. I’m not ashamed of it. I enjoy it, actually, and I make good money. But I prefer people not to know about it because they can be weird about stuff. I don’t want people judging me—like you’re obviously doing now.”

“I’m not!” Shawn protested. “Seriously. Whatever, man. I won’t tell anyone. I’m interested, actually.”

“Interested?” Jude arched an eyebrow. “Want me to send you a link?”

Shawn made a weird noise, something between a cough and a splutter, and his blush deepened. “I didn’t mean interested like that,” he finally managed in a hoarse voice. “Just… you know. How did you get into it? And how much do you earn and stuff? It’s a bit different to working part-time in a bar or a shop.”

Jude studied Shawn and decided the enquiry was genuine. “I met a guy on Twitter who did it, and asked him how to get started. I usually earn at least a hundred quid a show. I do two shows a week, so it adds up.”

“Wow. That’s cool. Beats the eight quid an hour I get at Boots anyway. And you don’t have to wear a stupid uniform.”

“Nope.” Jude grinned. “In fact, clothing is optional.”

Shawn snorted then. “Yeah, so I noticed.”

Jude laughed, and Shawn laughed too, and Jude was suddenly sure that it wasn’t going to be a problem. “Okay, man. I’ll leave you in peace. But thanks for saying you’ll keep it to yourself. I prefer it that way.”

Even after their conversation, Jude felt a little uncomfortable around Shawn for the rest of the week.

Admitting his attraction and letting himself think about Shawn while jerking off on camera had sparked a crush that was stronger than he was happy with. And then having Shawn walk in on him like that… in a weird way it turned him on to know that Shawn had seen him with his dick out. His exhibitionist streak liked that way too much.

Jude jerked off on Friday night with his door unlocked, half hoping that Shawn would barge in again. Of course he wouldn’t, he’d learned his lesson. But Jude let himself imagine it was possible. He turned his chair to face the door, and as he stroked himself to climax, he thought about Shawn walking in. He pictured his confused, flushed face, the dawning realisation as he saw what Jude was doing. He imagined looking down and seeing Shawn getting hard despite himself, turned on by watching Jude, seeing Jude’s cock. It didn’t take long for him to come with those images in his head.
