-Life Lesson

Tasha

I was nervous as hell as he led me into his house.

It was dark and quiet, both of his sisters had chosen to stay at the hotel near the vineyard. Their mother had booked a room for them for the night so they wouldn’t have to drive, and I was fairly sure CeeCee and Joe were using it before the wedding even ended.

I was glad we had the house to ourselves, because I suspected things that I was really looking forward to were going to happen. Loudly.

Or would have, had Casten not gotten a phone call.

My belly was fluttering like bats had taken flight inside me.

I turned to regard Casten as he methodically emptied his pockets on a shelf that rested just inside the door.

My skin started to tingle at the way he was looking at me.

Hungrily. Predatorily.

He wanted me, and he wasn’t afraid to show it. Not even a little bit.

Me, I was afraid.

I’d always been afraid to put it out there. I was never the one to make the first move.

Which was why I was standing frozen in the middle of Casten’s living room.

My red dress wrinkled from all that I’d done that day.

My hair a messy mass around my face, hair having slipped from my pinned bun.

Hell, even some of the bobby pins I’d put in my hair were just barely hanging on.

“You look worried,” Casten’s deep voice broke me out of my contemplation of my hair and how horrible I had to look.

“I…” my voice cracked and I cleared my throat. “I’m nervous.”

He smiled and walked towards me, hunting me.

He didn’t have to hunt me, though, because I wasn’t moving.

I was like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.

I couldn’t move even if I wanted to.

His eyes dipped down, taking in my neckline, then flicked up to my face.

“You feeling okay?” he asked.

I nodded. “A little sore. Not much anymore since I’ve rested so much.”

He was inches away by the time that answer left my mouth, and I could smell him.

He smelled so good, like leather and spice.

Normally, I wouldn’t think it was a good combination, but on him, it was divine.

He closed the last few inches to me, then slowly circled his arms around my waist, bringing his face down to mine.

My heart was beating a million miles an hour as I looked up into his face, waiting to see what he’d do next.

“Tasha,” he rumbled.

My eyes studied his stormy gray ones.

“Yeah?” I licked my lips.

He watched the movement.

“I’m going to fuck you.”

My heart stopped beating completely.

“I’m going to be gentle as I can. But if I hurt you, or something’s uncomfortable, tell me,” he ordered. “Okay?”

I nodded, not able to say anything more, or anything less.

“Good.”

Then I was moving.

I was in his arms.

He’d swept me off my feet!

My arms automatically circled his neck as he strolled down the hall, not to my room, but to his.

His big, comfy bed came into view, and I got my first good look at the massive piece of furniture.

I’d studiously avoided looking at anything in his room when I’d discovered he had nipple piercings.

Now, though, I saw it.

Saw the massive four poster bed.

Saw the intricate wrought-iron work that made up the head and foot boards.

A sudden vision of him tying me up to all four posts, me spread eagle and at his mercy, had me clenching my thighs tightly shut to circumvent the burn I could feel building at those thoughts.

“What are you thinking about?” His voice was rough as he sat me down gently on the side of the bed.

I was looking into his face.

Directly into his eyes.

“Ummm,” I hesitated. “How much I like your bed.”

He grinned.

“Most expensive piece of furniture in the whole fuckin’ house,” he told me.

I didn’t doubt it.

I bit my lip again.

“No need to be nervous, darlin’,” he soothed. “I’ve got plans. But they’re only going to leave you tired and sated. Not hurt. Promise.”

I didn’t doubt that, either.

He slowly started to pick out bobby pins, dropping them onto the floor beside his feet.

I held still, letting him get each and every one before I asked what he was doing.

“Why are you taking those out?” I wondered.

“Because I like to feel your hair. I’ve been dreaming about what this mass of wavy strands would feel like around my hips when I was fucking your mouth. And to feel that, I have to take all these little things out,” he admitted.

My face flushed, and he grinned.

He pulled the last thing out, the hair tie, and tossed it onto the floor before he slowly untied my dress from around my neck.

The top fell over, and he reached around to my back and unclasped the bra, exposing my breasts to his gaze.

“Been dreamin’ about these, too,” he admitted, fingering my nipples with the lightest of touches.
