We sit in my office, paperwork on potential client-escort matches piled in front of me as Crue sits on the other side of my desk.

“Okay, why?”

“Her little sister currently lives with us.”

I don’t let my surprise show as I organize my pile.

Honey.

Memories immediately come to mind—how she felt beneath my hands, the taste of champagne on her lips and tongue. So sickly sweet and so damn innocent. That little thing has crossed my mind more times than I can count, not only because of what happened at the wedding but because she made an impression on me in spite of it.

And I can’t seem to get her out of my head.

And now she’s here.

Trying to act unaffected, I say, “Tell her to move out.”

“My wife said I can’t say that,” he grumbles.

I want to laugh at him being told what to do.

This man is never told what to do.

Except by her.

It was a shitshow when he involved Honey. Getting engaged to Honey when Rya said no to meeting their families’ arrangements was messy, but it was only ever Rya who could handle Crue.

And the thought of Honey and Crue…

“What did she say exactly?” I ask, reaching for the bottle of whiskey that he just seems to be playing with and not pouring. I grab a glass and pour myself one.

The thought of Honey and Crue is unbearable.

It unnerves me further by how much she’s gotten under my skin.

“She said, and I quote, ‘If you even mention kicking my sister out, I will not let you touch me for a week.’ ” He groans. “That’s a long time when I can’t even go a few hours without her.”

I laugh, and his furious gaze snaps to me.

I roll my eyes and take a sip of whiskey. The soft, smooth, and silky feel as it glides down my throat helps the burn and annoyance I’m feeling as I suggest, “Why not send her to Rya’s old apartment?”

He grumbles. “You think I didn’t suggest that already? But their father won’t permit her being so far away from us.”

Sounds about right. Where Rya might have had a slightly longer leash, Honey was their delicate, precious flower, and the give on her lead was evidently minimal.

“Then buy an apartment and offer it to Honey.” He goes to speak, his mouth opening and then shutting. “In the same building you’re in,” I offer. “That way, Honey is close to Rya, and you have your space.”

Something dark dances across his features before he reaches for his phone, and after a few moments of typing, he smiles. “I’ll be back.”

I watch as he puts the phone to his ear and strides out of my office.

Looking back through my paperwork, I wonder how long it will take to finish the pile. This shit is the worst part of running a business. All the potential escort candidates are attractive, but we don’t only accept attractive. There has to be something special and defining about each one. I’ve struggled to find that allure in anyone since Italy. And I figure a certain little honeypot has to do with that. And now the temptation is too great, knowing she’s in the same city as me. My cock twitches at the thought of her painful bite. The image of that woman on her knees in front of me, lashing her tongue against my cock…

I’d been reckless.

But it’s stuck with me ever since.

“Done. I owe you.” Crue snaps me out of my brooding thoughts and taps my desk. “Come. You’re going to help her move.”

“I can’t.”

“Oh, but you can. Because if I recall, you left a supply closet with her at my wedding.” His gaze pins me. Fuck! I hate how much he sees. We’re the same in so many ways. But I don’t want him imposing on my business.

“Since when do you fuck women who haven’t been heavily vetted by you?” Crue raises a brow.

This is true. When I want to fuck, I make sure NDAs are signed, and no one can come back to me or go after anything that’s mine.

I built this business from the ground up, and I would never let any fucker take it from me. Not a chance in hell.

Honey had been that one moment of impulsiveness.

But I’m not playing into Crue’s insinuation, either.

“And here I thought you only had eyes for your newly wedded wife that day. I’m flattered,” I say. “Nothing happened.”

“Bullshit.”

I shrug nonchalantly and look back at my paperwork. “Hire a company to move furniture. It’s not my expertise,” I reply casually, then take a sip of whiskey. The temptation is too great, and I have to stay away, or I’ll risk all the boundaries and rules I’ve put into place to protect myself and my empire from blowing up in my face.

Crue throws back his drink and leaves without so much as another word. I adjust my uncomfortably stiff cock, the earlier thoughts of Honey have put my body into complete disarray.
