“Um…about that.” I pressed his hand against my stomach. “There could be another reason for that.”

“Holy fuck,” he breathed. “You tryin’ to tell me that you’re pregnant, baby?”

The tears that filled my eyes and streamed down my cheeks were happy ones. “I’m not sure, but I think so. I was going to buy a test last night to take today, but that plan flew out the window.”

“Blade can confirm for us after he checks you over to make sure whatever that asshole gave you didn’t cause any harm. But I need to do this first.” Dean dropped to his knees again. Then he reached into the inner pocket of his leather vest and pulled out a diamond solitaire. “Marry me.”

“How do you have a ring right now?” I pressed trembling fingers to my mouth.

He nodded. “One of the club’s connections in New York has a jeweler he does business with. When I mentioned you, he offered to have his guy come by with some rings for me to choose from.”

Stone muttered, “Basically, he made an offer Viper couldn’t refuse.”

I didn’t understand why that made them laugh, but their odd sense of humor wasn’t important right now. Answering Dean’s non-question proposal was. “Yes.”

He slid the ring on my finger before capturing my lips for a deep kiss. Ignoring Stone’s whistle, he murmured, “Love you so fucking much, baby.”

We might’ve done things a little out of order since I was already his old lady and fiancée—and possibly knocked me up—before I heard those words from him for the first time. Or said them back. But it was perfect to me.

“I love you, too.”

EPILOGUE

VIPER

“What did you decide?” I asked Rhiannon as I placed a damp cloth over her forehead and snuggled her into my arms while we chilled on the couch.

“You mean between the bouts of vomiting?” she grumbled.

I laughed and nuzzled my nose in her soft black locks. “I was trying to distract you.”

Rhiannon sighed. “I know, but if you want me to be able to concentrate, then tell this little boy to stop making his mommy throw up.”

“Guess he’s stubborn like his godfather,” I teased.

When we found out we were having a boy, Rhiannon wanted to name him Harvey. I thought it was a fantastic idea since, technically, he’d brought us together. When we asked him to be the godfather, he’d excused himself for a moment. Then came back with red eyes and told us it was just allergies from all the flowers. We had held in our laughter so as not to hurt his feelings.

“I almost went with horticulture,” my wife said as she slowly rubbed her growing baby bump. “But when you suggested I work with you, I figured it would be better to have more expertise in different areas.”

“Smart, baby. So botany?”

After we tied the knot—a couple of weeks from when I proposed—I suggested to Rhiannon that she keep her plans to go to college. She had argued that she still couldn’t afford it until I reminded her that my money was our money…and I had quite a lot of it.

We’d done some research on respected schools that offered the majority of their classes online. Luckily, one of her top choices was a short drive from Old Bridge. She’d still have to go to campus for labs and a few other things, but she could work it around the baby’s schedule. And I’d do everything I could to make it easier on her.

“Yes,” she answered, then looked up at me with a determined glint in her eyes. “But just so you know, I’m still going to work for Harvey. Not full time, probably just a shift here and there. I love my job and the people there.”

I smiled and cupped her cheek with one hand. “Figured as much, baby. Besides, Harvey may have threatened to key my bike and slash my tires if I didn’t agree to you still working for him.”

Rhiannon giggled and sat up, tossing the cold compress on the floor and moving to straddle my lap.

“I wasn’t sure there was such a thing as ‘happily ever after’ until I met you, Dean. But you’re always making dreams I didn’t know I had come true.”

I leaned in and kissed her softly, then gave her a lopsided smile. “There’s only one thing I love seeing more than making you come,” I smirked, then sobered my expression. “It’s seeing you smile.”

Rhiannon’s body practically melted into mine, and this time, when our lips touched, the passion exploded.

An hour later, we were sprawled naked on the living room floor, exhausted and completely satisfied.

“You know, we aren’t going to be able to do stuff like this when the baby comes,” she teased.

She had a point. Suddenly, I wasn’t so exhausted anymore. I rolled us so I was on my back and then raised her up before dropping her down on my already hard dick. “Better make the most of it,” I growled.
