Raine had the peculiar feeling Skars wasn’t telling her something. She was about to press him when Skars used his fingers to detach the flap of skin that had been sucking on her vulva and moved it lower to her opening.

When he placed it at her opening, Raine braced herself for him to thrust it inside of her. There was always a lot of thrusting going on in the romance books she had read.

If she had thought her eyes had rolled back in her head when his penis had latched on to her vulva, it didn’t compare to the feel of him entering her. His penis changing back to the shape of a bud of flower as it slid through her opening, Raine could have sworn the head became malleable to easily glide inside. As it went in, she felt the sense of fullness she had expected to feel with how wide his penis was. Like a balloon, he was expanding inside of her body.

Raine moved her hands to Skars’ shoulders to hold on as his hands went under her knees to pull her hips closer to his.

“Lie back.”

He didn’t have to ask twice. She was incapable of doing anything other than follow his lead. There was nothing but a pleasure so intense that she wondered if human women would be able to live through making love with a Martian even if he had DNA from their ancestors on Earth.

It also felt as if it had latched on to …

She was unable to hold back her screams of fulfillment when the ecstatic shudders struck her like a lightning bolt when he found her G-spot.

Skars’ mouth landed on hers, effectively fusing their mouths together. If she had been capable of speech, she would have thanked him. She would have died of embarrassment if Reva’s room was close to theirs and heard her screams.

Her pelvis thrashed against his, their lovemaking becoming frenzied. The climatic shudders didn’t stop until Raine was afraid she would never be able to survive another climax. Just as she was about to start hitting his shoulders to make Skars aware that her death was imminent, the climax stopped, and she once again felt him burrowing higher inside of her to latch on to another part.

“I told you we would fit.”

Barely left with enough strength to lift one eyelid, much less argue, she let him gloat, especially when he started doing all the thrusting she had read about in her books. Action was always better than the written word.

His body moved over hers as he moved her into the positions he wanted until she found herself lying face down on the mattress with him plunging into her from behind. His body was like a piston that didn’t have an off-switch.

Just when she was about to confess she didn’t have a Martian woman’s stamina, she felt him grasp her hips in a tight grip as his mouth caressed her neck.

Skars must have become worried he had killed her when she remained unmoving, so he rolled her onto her back. When she didn’t say anything and remained still, she felt him lift one of her eyelids.

Raine swatted his hand away. “Skars, there is something I forgot to tell you about married couples.”

Amusement filled his eyes at her exhaustion.

“Married couples only have sex every”—Raine tried to focus her brain as to how long it was going to take to recover from tonight and came up with a conservative figure—“twelve years.”

“Our time is much different …”

She wasn’t going to fall that for a second time. “I already took that into account. The twelve years was in alien years.”

Teasingly, Skars caressed the tip of her breast. “No exceptions?”

Raine swatted it away. She wasn’t going to take any chances about stirring his wayward penis.

“Is there any way not to use that latchy thing?”

“No.”

“Then no exceptions.”

Chapter 23

Raine

“Are they going to let us remain on their ships, or are the Vikings going to find a place to settle on Earth?”

“I have no idea, Silvia.” Raine wanted the answer to that question herself.

When Skars had finally arranged for her friends to come for a visit, she had known they would have questions that she herself wanted answers for. What was unexpected were the long awkward silences after she couldn’t answer them.

“Skars really hasn’t told me anything,” Raine told them truthfully. Skars would leave early in the morning and remain gone throughout the day, often returning when she was sitting down for an evening meal.

“It’s been two weeks. Skars hasn’t told you if Thorsen is getting any closer to getting Piper released?”

Raine put her hands out, showing Lucas she was just as in the dark as he was.

“Every time I ask, Skars says King Jurzed is refusing to trade for Piper until Thorsen has Xio; then the king would be willing.
