I lost track of how many times we came before he finally took pity on me. He let me lay on his body, so I was out of the wet spots but eventually, he maneuvered me like a doll and changed the bedding.

A woosh of air alerted me to the bedroom door swinging open. I turned my head and opened one eye, watching as Judas strolled in and headed straight for my cocoon of comfort.

“Rise and shine, principessa.”

“Why?” I asked in a groggy voice, looking at him with both eyes now wide open.

He was an actual Adonis walking in here looking the way he did. How could he be so well-rested? Wearing a white button-down rolled back at the sleeves and suit pants, he had a professional edge about him. He’d added a watch to today’s attire that probably cost more than what I would have made in two years.

“There will be plenty of days where you lay around wearing nothing but my come and sleep for as long as you want. Unfortunately for both of us, that day isn’t this one.”

Stopping right beside the bed, he reached down and picked up the cellphone. “This is your new cell. I pitched the old one.”

Oh, God. Was this how we were starting the day off? He didn’t miss a beat. I watched him click through a few different apps with raised brows.

“If that’s mine then you know that’s considered an invasion of privacy, right?”

“Only if you have something to hide, which you don’t and never will because I know all of your secrets and any new ones will be shared between us as husband and wife.”

“Seriously?” I asked with a dry laugh. “So, I can know the passcode to your phone and go through it whenever I want?”

“You already know my passcodes. Most of them, anyway.” He placed my new cell back on the side table. “Now, get your ass out of bed, we have a busy day ahead of us and I’m tempted to spend half of it fucking you again.”

Even as sore as my body was, that didn’t sound like a terribly awful idea. That’s precisely why it was one. I’d need a wheelchair if he put me through another fuck-fest like the one we just had.

“What do you mean by us having a busy day?”

“For the love of--,” he paused and looked up at the ceiling for a moment before fixing me with his steely-eyed stare. “You ask a lot of fucking questions.”

I smiled brightly. “I know. Don’t you love it?”

He sighed and grabbed hold of the comforter, yanking it away from my body. “Up,” he commanded, bringing a hand down on my ass.

I yelped and lurched onto my knees. Twisting at the waist, I leveled him with a glare. “That hurt!”

“You’re up, aren’t you?” He took my face into his large hands and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. “Now hustle. Get a shower, put on something pretty, and then meet me in the kitchen.”

“Something pretty?”

“Mhm,” he hummed, placing another kiss on the tip of my nose.

“A dress and more heels. You have an entire wardrobe to choose them from.”

“Why do I have to wear heels?”

He slipped one arm around my waist and grabbed a fistful of my hair, tugging my head back until I was looking up at him. “Because later I want to bend you over and fuck you in them.”

“Um, no. I can’t handle anymore of you.”

His victorious smirk instantly irritated me.

“While that does wonders for my ego, it does not make either of us come.” With one last, hard kiss he stepped away. “I’ll be waiting downstairs.”

I rolled my lips together to savor his minty taste. I didn’t know what he was up to now, but I was certainly going to find out. Maybe that should be my outlook from here forward.

I didn’t dig much after everything fell apart. I wasn’t sure if I could handle what I would find at the end of the road I would have to take for the answers I sought.

Now was the best time to figure that all out. There was someone right in front of me that knew most, if not all of what I wanted to. If I let things go on like I always had until Judas showed up again, I’d be running on the same hamster wheel going nowhere.

Somewhat motivated to maybe get some clarity about my life for once and figure out what Judas’ angle was by making me his wife, I slid out of bed and headed for the closets off the hallway leading into the bathroom. Each step reminded me that I’d just gotten fucked every which way to Sunday.

When I got to where the two doors faced one another, I wanted to rejoice in reaching my destination without pause.
