Once I’m dressed and composed, I walk over to Lisa’s desk, raise my phone to my ear, and give my boyfriend a call.

Chapter 2

Renzo

Ihad no clue the little church mouse office manager has a body like a sex goddess, but it’s all I can think about as I walk back to my office.

When I hired Madeline Sorrento, it was based entirely on her invisibility. She barely drew attention, seemed uninterested in the inner workings of the firm, and struck me as a woman that would do her job well without ever poking her nose where it shouldn’t go. I nearly forgot she existed until she showed up on Monday morning with that lustrous dark brown curly hair of hers and those big green eyes. She’s always been pretty, but forgettable—the girl has a knack for disappearing into the background.

She’s efficient. Does her job well. Everyone likes her, or at least nobody’s ever complained.

And her tits are absolutely fantastic.

Firm, pink nipples just begging to be sucked. The flat stomach of someone that clearly works out and cares about her appearance, despite the baggy, boring sweaters she wears all the time. Her full lips pressed forward, begging for a cock to slide into her pretty mouth.

What the fuck.

I’m hard as I slam my door and sit down behind my desk. I’m fucking hard thinking about my office manager’s tits and that mouth and the little embarrassed whimper she made as she tried to cover herself up, which somehow only made her so much sexier.

I should be pissed. She’s using my top sales manager’s office to take dirty pictures, but a strange part of me feels a jolt of jealous possession. Who is this guy she’s fondling herself for? What kind of man deserves a girl like that? I’m tempted to march back to that office, grab her by the hair, and kiss her until she tells me exactly who she’s trying to impress.

Then I’ll show her that she doesn’t need to put herself out for anyone but me.

Which is patently insane.

I have no claim over that girl. I barely talk to her and forget she exists most days.

And there’s my soon-to-be-fiancée to consider.

No, if anything, I should admonish the girl for using the company office for something obscene. Except I got a nice show out of it, and I suspect she’s embarrassed enough that it won’t ever happen again.

Meek little Maddie taking sexy selfies.

Fucking unreal.

I try to shove the image of her tits out of my head but I can’t stop thinking about her. That smooth skin, supple and lovely, and her tiny pink buds. I wonder if she likes having her nipples sucked, bitten, squeezed, and teased. I could finger-fuck her deep into that tight, lovely pussy of hers, suck on those tits, make her moan my name—

Get it together, Renzo, you prick.

I take a few deep breaths and slowly release them. I can’t have these thoughts anymore, not ever since I accepted an engagement to Allegra Rinaldo, daughter of Don Rinaldo, the mafia princess that’s supposed to solidify my position and bring prestige back to my Famiglia.

An arranged marriage. Not something I ever imagined for myself, but I’m duty-bound to do what’s necessary for the organization.

My phone rings. I pick it up and Saul’s voice comes down the line. “How’s your afternoon going, brother?”

“Not too bad.” I think of Maddie’s lips, the arc of her neck, the fear in her eyes. My blood pulses like fire. “Working on the Spires case.”

“They’re close to selling, right? You made our offer?”

I nudge the file I grabbed from Lisa’s office with my knuckle. “Going over the numbers now. Snell’s been running lead on it and she says it’s got some serious potential.”

Saul doesn’t sound happy. “There was a day when any fucking developer in Philadelphia would beg to sell to the Rossi Famiglia. What the hell happened?”

“Papa died.” Poor Guido Rossi, gone before his time, most respected of all Dons. “God rest his soul.”

“Yeah, yeah, God rest and all that shit. What the hell are we going to do, Ren? If one of the other families gets control of the river smuggling trade, it’s going to make it hell to import our stuff.”

I grimace, rubbing my face. “Careful,” I warn. Saul should know better. We’re not supposed to talk about business like this over the phones. Papa taught us that a very long time ago—the feds are always listening. No matter how many we bribe, no matter how deep we embed our informants, there’s always a chance they’ll use some bullshit RICO charges to drag us all down.

Say the wrong thing over a tapped line—and you’re sucking dick for commissary for the rest of your life.

It’s only through vigilance and careful planning that we survive.

“I know.” Saul grunts in reply. My brother is only a couple years younger, but his personality couldn’t be more different. Where I’m calm and collected, he’s all fire and brimstone. “Just itching to do something. Business has been slow.”
