It was my time. Looking at Micah, I corrected ‘no, it was our time.’

“What are you doing, Micah?” I asked, needing to know for certain he wasn’t just playing games. Being curious was okay with me—that’s how it started for a lot of men. Games—not okay. “I called Eli last night; he told me you were straight.” I tucked a strand of his wavy blond hair behind his ear. “Last time I checked, not a lot of straight guys enjoyed another man’s tongue in their ass.”

He giggled and winked down at me. “Well, obviously they’ve never had one in their ass before. That-that was…that was like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life.” His hand reached up and traced a soft path along my upper arm. “You’re so damn strong and hard. I’m not used to that. When I saw you that first day in the conference room, something weird happened inside my stomach. I wanted to touch you, just one time because I knew it would get you out of my system.” He laughed again and snuggled his body between my legs like it was the most natural move in the world. His finger reached up and traced an invisible path along my jawline. “But it didn’t happen that way, Mr. Bodyguard. First, you made me work for your attention—nobody’s really done that before when sex was involved. Second, after I touched you, just innocent, ‘accidental’ touches, it left me only wanting more. Then, after last night’s performance, I’ve found that it appears I’ve developed a craving for your touch.”

That naughty finger left my face and traveled downward to my chest—just innocent little touches, close to my nipples but not actually touching them. One quick glimpse into Micah’s eyes told me he’d be full-fledged fun in the bedroom and out of it. He’d be a tease.

“A craving, huh? After one vanilla-ish rimming job?” I asked, my words a blatant lie. Rimming was good, great actually, but I’d always preferred receiving over giving—just greedy like that. Things had been different with Micah though—from the first moment I saw him walk into that conference room to when he was spread out on the table last night, ready to be eaten like a fucking buffet of treats—he’d touched something inside me that made me want to both protect him and fuck him until he couldn’t walk a straight line.

Suddenly, he popped up and stared at me, a weird expression on his face. “Did you just say you called Eli to ask him if I was straight? When? Why? Isn’t that rude? Why didn’t you just ask me instead of getting my family involved?”

Lots of questions; Micah always had lots of questions.

Taking a deep breath, I answered, “I called Eli because I had a question and wanted to know the answer. I thought he could tell me,” I ended with a shrug, like there was nothing at all wrong with me calling Eli over something so personal. “I thought you were playing with me.” I switched over to the honesty technique. “I thought you knew I was bisexual and you were playing games with my head. That was wrong of me and I apologize.” I usually only apologized to Ari and told everybody else to fuck off, but Micah was different. Again.

Instead of being angry, he hugged out a laugh. “What did Eli say?”

“He may have cussed me out and then told me you were straight.” Talking about Eli caused thoughts of Ari being at the bastard’s mercy and threatened to ruin my mood. “Let’s not talk about him anymore, though. How about that?”

He tilted his head to the side and studied me like I was some sort of science project. “Why don’t you like Eli? Everybody likes Eli,” he said with conviction.

“Not everybody,” I mumbled and then added, “but one more person than I wished.” I wasn’t sure what was between Ari and Eli but knew it would piss me off. Thoughts of Ari falling in love and permanently flying the coop made me sick to my stomach. For the longest, it’d just been the two of us. Sharing him, if that’s what Eli led to, wasn’t going to be an easy task.

“Okay, let’s table your dislike for one of the nicest guys in the world for another time. I get it; you don’t want to talk about it with all this nakedness right in front of you. On top of you. Kinda humping against you. I get it; I honestly do.”

He made me want to giggle and that simply was unacceptable. I hadn’t giggled with unbridled happiness since the nurse had put Ari in my arms. “So, this wonderful guy, Eli, thinks you’re straight. I wonder why; he’s like family to you, isn’t he?”

“Yep, just like family,” he agreed with a grin. “My guess is that he thinks I’m straight because I always have been—right up until I saw you for the first time. I think I had a crush. A boy-crush. I thought it would pass because I’ve never been into guys before, but it got stronger and stronger. After last night,” he said as he propped his chin up on the backs of his hands, his elbows propped up on my chest, “it morphed into something stronger, something I enjoyed and would like to explore.” He leaned closer to me. “You do realize you had your tongue in my ass, right? All the way in there,” he continued. “You made me scream in the silliest voice I’ve ever heard in my life. To be honest, if I wasn’t still feeling some lingering ‘fuck-yeahs’ from my earth-shattering orgasm, I’d be embarrassed at just how…girlie you’d made me sound.”
