My eyes shot forward to meet his. “How in the hell did you see the video? When?” I wanted to melt into the ground and disappear forever. Landon saw that? It was no wonder he hated me and thought I was a dick.

He laughed. “I saw it live last night and then I’ve, of course, hacked into all your social media accounts to make sure I don’t see any potential threats. When I checked this morning, I saw the video had been posted. To be honest, I didn’t think you’d mind. Do you want it to disappear?”

“I can make it disappear off my feed, but that’s about it. Whoever the dick was that posted it would need to remove it…along with the hundreds of thousands of other people who have already downloaded it. I’ll just have to deal with it. Before long, somebody else will fuck up and take my place under the spotlight.” At least, I hoped that would happen.

He stopped eating and pulled out his phone. After tapping away for a few minutes, he tucked it back into his pocket, looked at me, and said, “We’ll see what the company can do. We have some damn good hackers and computer geniuses working with us.” A strange expression crossed his face when he added, “Our best one is on vacation right now, but the others are top notch, too.”

That expression on his face—I didn’t like it. Not one bit. It was affection, maybe even love.

“Hopefully that little problem will be fixed within the next hour,” Landon said, all hints of affection gone since he was back to focusing on me. Then, right before my very eyes, a naughty twinkle caused his bright green orbs to darken. “And just think, if you were a man instead of a boy, I could help you with your…uh…other problem, too.” He finished the statement with a chuckle.

I didn’t have a fucking clue what he was talking about, but I wasn’t a damn boy! I was as much man as he was. Jackass. We hadn’t spent one entire day together, and I was already sick of his attitude. I wasn’t sick of looking at him or smelling him or imagining what it would be like to have all those muscles on top of me…his hips cradled between my open thighs. I shook my head and tried to erase the erotic images.

“What in the hell is that supposed to mean? First of all, I am a man, not a boy. If you can’t tell the difference, old man, maybe we could stop by and get you fitted for glasses.” I kept going, driven by…jealousy and shame. “Just because I’m not old like you, Daddy, doesn’t mean I’m not a man. Second, I don’t think I have a fucking problem!”

He leaned in closer. “Sure you do, Micah. Everybody in the restaurant saw it when you stood up earlier. Those skinny jeans…well, they show everything. It looked like a problem.”

Shit. Of course, the bastard would have noticed and then be rude enough to point it out. One day, really soon, I was going to show him a thing or two about how lucky he’d be to have a chance with me in bed. Hell, I might even show him a thing or two when we went back up to the room. I could use him to work off some of this horrible breakfast…that I hadn’t even touched yet. After watching Landon eat his pancakes, I couldn’t make the fork travel to my mouth while loaded with healthy shit.

Straightening my shoulders, I answered, “Well, since you had absolutely nothing to do with the problem, you shouldn’t worry about trying to fix it.”

He shrugged and grinned. “If you say so.”

“If I say so? What does that mean? You think I’m attracted to you? Puulleeaase! I don’t even like guys!”

He looked incredibly bored. “Good for you, Micah. Have you convinced yourself yet?”

Fury blazed in my blood. I opened my mouth to say God only knew what, but Trevor took that time to walk over to our table. “Hey, Micah.” He glanced nervously between the two of us. “Everything work out last night? Sorry I overslept. I didn’t get much sleep the night before.”

I nearly snapped at him to get lost but then I remembered what Landon had said about me using Trevor…and that I’d realized he was probably right. Poor Trevor—nobody gave him any attention. He struggled making friends because he’d always rather be reading a book than snorting a line of coke. He loved to read and what nobody else knew was that he’d spend a lot of nights in my room, reading to me. Sometimes it would be romance. The next time it would be suspense. Sometimes he’d try a romantic comedy and I’d let him get by with it. I drew the line at his educational books. I was more of a fiction kind of guy. Why not? My whole life was a story of fiction.
