I check the text message Lizzy sent while I was on my call. She and Bella have gone to one of those bear-building stores nearby. That gives me time to have a drink at the bar. However, I’m stopped in my tracks as I go to head for it.
“Mr. Di Lorenzo, your assistant made an appointment for you at the spa. If you would follow me,” the woman from the hotel staff says.
Again, Lizzy takes care of my needs as if reading my mind. A good massage will help with this building tension. I can get that drink after. I grin to myself as I think of my assistant. She’s turning out to be worth her weight in gold.
Now, if I could figure out how to get her in my bed without fucking everything up, I’d be a happy man. I shake that thought away. I may have to settle for the first willing, warm body at this point.
Why does that thought leave a sour taste in my mouth?
****
That hit the spot. I’ve never had a masseuse so thorough. I’m not sure if I want that drink after all. I’m tempted to drag my tired body up to my room and pass out.
I check for a message from Lizzy, but I don’t have one. I shoot her a quick text to check in. She replies to let me know she and Bella are still having fun and plan to stop and play some games and get a bite to eat.
I go to tell her I’ll join them, but my attention is pulled by a stunner who walks into the hotel bar. “I guess I’ll get that drink after all,” I mutter to myself.
I saunter into the bar and take a seat a few stools down from the gorgeous woman who pulled my attention. She’s not as dark as Lizzy or as tall, but she’s still very attractive.
“A double of your best tequila.”
The bartender nods and pushes away to get my drink. I pretend to scroll through my phone, not acknowledging the woman only two seats away.
“Hard day?” she says in a sweet voice.
I look up and give her a smile. “Something like that.” I keep it short and simple.
She gets up and moves closer. Her perfume isn’t my favorite, but she looks like she takes good care of herself.
“I’m here on business. You?”
“The same.”
“Wow, you’re not much of a talker.”
“I’m not in the mood to talk,” I reply.
“Oh no? What are you in the mood for?”
“I’m a recent widower. I’ve had a tough day. In all honesty, what I need is a good blow job and to fuck your brains out.”
I take a sip of my drink as it arrives and allow my words to sink in. She gives me a slow smile as she looks me over. I haven’t lost my touch.
She leans into me. “That’s big talk, I hope you can make good on it.”
“I make good on everything I say.”
“I’m Arizona.”
I snort and start to second-guess this. The last thing I want is some dry ass pussy. I need to get into something wet and tight. I haven’t had sex in so long, I deserve true pleasure.
“I’m…you know what? I’m not into this. Thanks for the conversation.” I stand and throw a couple of hundreds down. “Have a few drinks on me.”
I finish my drink, then turn and head upstairs. I’ll take that nap so I can play with my daughter when she gets back. Damn, what has my life become?
Lizzy
I took Bella out to get out of Dante’s hair for a bit. I wanted him to enjoy his spa time and get some rest. The man works so hard.
We push into the room and it’s so quiet. I place a finger to my lips to quiet Bella once I see Dante passed out on the couch. I notice the empty bottle of tequila hanging from his fingertips.
“Rough day,” I murmur.
I get down to eye level with Bella to distract her. She’s bursting at the seams to tell her father about her day. Her hazel eyes are filled with curiosity as she looks back at me.
“How about we let your daddy sleep? You can come with me in the game room, and we can watch some cartoons.”
She clasps her hands together. “Can we watch your cartoons? The old ones?”
I chuckle and tap her nose with my finger. “Care Bears and Gargoyles it is.”
Since we have the attached suite, I can close the door, so we don’t disturb Dante. It must have been a rough day. In the six weeks we’ve been traveling, I’ve never seen him drink and not to the point of passing out.
I hope everything went well with the spa. I stand and take all of our things into the bedroom before changing into sweats to lounge and watch cartoons with my little friend. I can’t help but laugh when I find Bella looking down at her street clothes and then back at me.
