I grin and bite my lip. “Trust me, cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. And oh, after we’re done here, do you want to go to the Salty Lagoon?”
His eyes dance.
“Oh yeah? Do you want to show off your bartending techniques? Like Tom Cruise in Cocktail where he swings bottles around and throws them in the air?”
“Maybe,” I tease. “Or maybe I think it’d be fun to go out with you. What’s wrong, Sam? Are you afraid of a good time?”
He raises his hands in mock surrender. “Well, if you’re going to twist my arm about it, I guess I have no choice. But I do have one request.”
“And that is?”
“You’ve got to wear something sexy.”
I laugh and hold out my pinky across the table. “Deal.”
My gorgeous man links pinkies with me, and we shake on it. I giggle naughtily because it’s so nice to be with him, but I have a special surprise planned that’s far too spicy to share here in the small confines of my apartment. He’s going to love it, and I’ll make sure Sam remembers my surprise for the rest of his days.

Jessa doesn’t disappoint when it’s time for us to go out. She’s put her hair up, exposing her long neck and smooth, delicate shoulders. I love the tattoos gracing her skin. I’ve kissed them enough that all the ink should have faded but the hearts, moons and stars are still there. Her dress is black, skin-tight, and shimmers when the light hits it just right.
She spins for me once she’s finished getting ready, and it takes everything in me not to throw her onto the bed and push into her while she’s wearing those strappy heels.
“Sexy,” I murmur, when she raises her eyebrow playfully. “You’re stunning, honey.”
“Thank you.” She grabs her purse and poses saucily in front of me before lifting her chin for a kiss. Even in those shoes, she’s not tall enough to reach my lips without me bending over her. I grin, obliging her, savoring that sweetness. The kiss is magnificent and both of us begin to swoon before I growl.
“Honey, we better go now, otherwise we’re never going to make it to the Salty Lagoon.”
Her giggles fill the air, and she prances outside before hopping into the truck.
“Last one there is a rotten egg!”
I harrumph, amused. This girl is so funny and cute, and when taken with her bodacious curves, she’s absolutely irresistible. How lucky am I to be with her?
We drive about fifteen minutes and then pull into the parking lot of the bar. Per usual, the windows glow and there’s the thump of loud music ringing in the night. Once we get inside, it’s the same as always: dark, loud and filled with people making merry. Taking my hand, Jessa leads me to the bar.
“Hey, Arnold,” she says, making her way around the counter. “I’m going to pour myself and my boyfriend a drink. You know Sam, right?”
We’ve met once in the past, and I nod courteously.
“Hey man.”
The paunchy middle-aged man shrugs, deadpan. “Hey. Sure, help yourself. It’s no skin off my nose, as long as you and your boyfriend tip.”
His joke comes off as pretty dry to me, but Jessa laughs good-naturedly, elbowing him in the ribs. “C’mon, Arnold, you know I always tip excellent service. And I always provide excellent service.” She winks at him.
He smiles, shrugs, and starts wiping down the bar.
Jessa turns to me, her eyes twinkling in the low lighting. “So,” she leans across the bar, pushing her breasts up on her folded arms. “What can I get you, stud?”
I also lean against the bar until our lips are only a breath apart. “An old-fashioned.”
“Comin’ right up.”
She turns and pulls the booze from the shelf. She bends to get a metal cup from under the bar. When she straightens, she looks at me and there’s mischief shining in her eyes. I grin back, knowing she’s about to do something incredible.
Then, she tosses the metal cup behind her back and catches it, without taking her eyes off me. Wow! With the whiskey in her hand, she pours a bit in the cup, and then flips the cup in the air. She does this a couple more times, adding more liquid as she goes. My girl never spills a drop, and she never takes her eyes off me either. God, I’ve never wanted Jessa more. When she’s finished, she pushes the glass to me.
“Your old-fashioned,” she announces, gazing at me triumphantly.
I lean across the bar and touch my lips to her ear. “If we weren’t in public right now, I’d want you bent over and ready.”
“So you liked the show, then?” she asks.
In answer, I nibble at the top of her ear. She shivers and kisses me before leaning away. Then, she makes herself a whiskey and Coke and comes around the bar to sit next to me. I sip my drink, and it’s the tastiest cocktail I’ve ever had, no lie.
