Folding her arms around herself, she slowly made her way down the stairs. Each time she got closer, the music got louder.

She’d never been to a party like this. The parties her family had were always quiet, social events. There was no room for loud music, or dancing. There was always the chance of a threat. The men that gathered together often hated each other.

On the ground floor, she paused when she saw a woman having sex with one of the club members. His jacket was on, and she noticed all the men wore them. Each one declared their membership to the Hell’s Bastards.

“That’s right, fuck me. I need it. I need it so badly.”

Cheeks heating at the need in the woman’s voice, Abriana moved toward the door. Glancing inside, she saw the men were all partying.

She opened the door slightly and stepped inside. The noise was so intense.

“Our boy is married. Come on, ladies, show him a good time.”

Several women were naked, dancing on tables. Abriana saw a stage was set up with a stripper pole.

No one had noticed her entering.

It was probably a good thing. No kids were in sight anymore, and there was just so much alcohol and naked women.

A moan to her left drew her attention, and she saw one of the men with his fingers in a woman’s hair as he bucked against her. He tugged on her hair.

“Show me.”

He watched the woman open her mouth, showing a load of his cum.

“Good girl, swallow it.”

Averting her gaze at the display, trying to stay out of sight, to find the kitchen, she paused when she caught sight of Ugly Beast.

He was sitting in a chair as a woman ground on him. She was completely naked, and Ugly Beast was clothed.

Seeing the smile on his lips tore at her. She barely knew this man, and yet he was looking at the woman as if she was someone special.

“You’re the new girl, aren’t you?”

She turned to a raven-haired, pretty woman. She wore a leather cut and a lot more clothes than any of the other women were wearing.

“Erm, new girl?”

“You’re Ugly Beast’s old lady?”

“Huh?”

“Wife.”

“Oh, yes.”

“One thing you got to learn about the club, sweetheart, these men are not taken. You can be upset and hate the sluts, but the men will do whatever the fuck they want.”

“Are you a wife?”

The raven-haired woman snorted. “Not a chance. I wouldn’t have any of these fuckers even if they begged me.”

“You wear a leather cut.”

“I’m one of them, sweetheart.” She turned, and Abriana read the words, “Only Female Member.”

“Oh.”

“I earned my patch. Are you here to cause shit?”

“I just want some food. He was supposed to … bring me some food.”

“The name’s Raven,” the woman said. “We girls got to stick together. None of the old ladies are here. They knew the boys were going to throw your boy a party. There’s going to be a lot of pussy on offer tonight, and well, the boys don’t take kindly to them interfering. Come on, I’ll make you a sandwich. The pizza was eaten an hour ago.”

So food had come and gone.

One last look at Ugly Beast, Abriana knew she would never rely on him, nor would she want anything to do with him.

Following Raven into the kitchen, she stared at her. The other woman looked so sure, so confident and happy as she hummed to herself.

“Take a seat, sweetness. Are you allergic to anything?”

“No.”

“Ah, peanut butter sandwich it is. We usually have shitloads of food here. Looks like we’re going to have to go shopping.”

She slammed the door closed on the fridge.

“So, you’re a mafia brat.”

“Mafia brat?”

“Yes. What’s it like being in the mafia?” Raven asked, spreading the peanut butter thickly.

“It’s not a lot of fun.”

“You see a lot of death, or do you get put away on a shelf until the men need you?” Raven asked.

“I’ve seen men die. At some of the parties they have, there is always some death.”

“Your men have parties?”

“Not like this. They’re always tense affairs. It’s mostly to make deals, talk about betrayers and stuff like that. Women are there for … I think for them to look at. I don’t know.”

“Is it true you’re not allowed to do anything but make babies?” Raven put the plate down in front of her.

Abriana took a bite. “Thank you. Yes. I was homeschooled, but there are schools for girls where they are kept, trained, and ready for marriage. It’s what we’re supposed to do. We’re allowed to shop. We’re not allowed to know business.”

“What can you do?” Raven asked.

“Not a lot. We can read. Listen to music. Whatever we do cannot cause a distraction or make waves.”

“Fuck. That sounds so fucking boring. Girl, you are in for a real eye-opening experience. Here, you got to learn to speak up for yourself. To take a stand.”
