“I took out the items that didn’t have dark associations. What’s left in the bag can be sold or given away,” Rei instructed. His eyes then zipped to the bag dangling from Yichen’s hand. “Is that something for me?”

“Meimei helped me since I don’t know about current fashion. I thought you could use some more things in your wardrobe,” he murmured as he handed over the bag.

Rei practically dove into the bag. The paper rattled and crinkled loudly, but the sound was almost drowned out by Rei’s squeals and gasps of joy. He had always suspected the elf was a clothing snob. Of course, the crown prince had access to whatever clothes he wanted. Always the finest materials. Even when he was warring with his royal parents.

But after coming to the human realm, his wardrobe had become simpler with jeans and T-shirts. They’d been cheap and easy to find. Rei had never once turned his nose up at anything or complained about what he was given.

All the same, Rei was his prince. His treasure. He deserved to have pretty things. It was why he’d gotten back all of Rei’s jewelry and gems. And why he’d asked Meimei to take him to all the high-end fashion stores. She’d done most of the choosing. His one request was that the clothes be soft, because above all else, Rei was a tactile creature. He loved things that were soft or silky.

Sound stopped completely as Rei pulled out the final sweater. It was far too warm for him to wear it now, but he couldn’t pass it up. The moss-green V-neck garment was the softest thing he’d ever touched. Not only would Rei look amazing in it with his blond hair and warm complexion, but it would be so soft against his skin. A constant caress.

“Yiyi,” Rei choked out in a near whine. “What have I done to you to make you wish to destroy me so completely? This…this is so perfect. I didn’t know humans could even make something so perfect.”

With extreme care, he lifted the sweater from Rei’s fingers and placed it along with the other garments on the dresser. He returned and cupped Rei’s face, loving those wide eyes watching him as if he were Rei’s entire world.

“My prince deserved to have something as perfect as he is.”

Rei wrapped a hand around the nape of his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. But this wasn’t like their other light, teasing, gently exploring kisses. Gone were those early days of hesitant testing. This kiss was hungry and demanding. With a swipe of his tongue, Rei pressed inside of Yichen’s mouth and dominated him in an instant. Yichen moaned and allowed Rei to drag him onto the narrow, full-sized bed. That was fine. It meant they had to remain close.

Very, very close.

“I have the only perfection I need,” Rei said in between kisses. “His name is Wu Yichen, prince of the Wu Kingdom.”

With a final tug, Yichen found himself in a tangle of limbs, their lips never parting as desperate hands pulled at clothes. When their bare chests pressed together, they broke apart on a hiss, followed by a laugh.

“Too cold?” Yichen asked, some of his old insecurities sneaking in. As a vampire, his body temperature was several degrees below that of a human or elf. He didn’t want Rei to feel like he was having sex with a corpse.

Rei shook his head, his eyes bright and cheeks wonderfully flushed. “You’re perfect. Besides, I plan to heat you up.”

“Bring it on, elf boy.” Yichen slid his hand up Rei’s chest from his waist, rubbing his thumb across his flat brown nipple until it pebbled up. The elf’s head tipped on a gasp, turning his neck into a long stretch of decadent temptation. He couldn’t help it. Yichen lunged for it, licking a stripe from the base across his Adam’s apple to his jaw, wringing a whine of need out of Rei along the way.

“Yiyi! I love when you bite me,” Rei cried.

He huffed a laugh, letting his breath curl across the wet flesh, making Rei shiver. “You love it when I kiss you.” He pressed a kiss to the tip of his pointed chin. “You love it when I touch you.” He plucked at the taut nipple. “Will you love it when I fuck you?” As he spoke, he dragged his hand across Rei’s flat stomach and along the front of his pants to cup his hardening cock. Rei’s hips thrust into his hand while he moaned into Yichen’s parted lips.

“Yes,” Rei panted. “I love everything you do to me.”

“I—fuck!”

Rei’s head jerked back, his entire body going still at Yichen’s curse. “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t have anything we’d need for sex.”

Rei glanced between them, his eyes zeroing in on the bulge in Yichen’s jeans fighting to escape. “I’m pretty sure you were born with everything we’d need for sex.”
