It’s kind of funny because usually, Frankie and I are the single ones, but now, everyone’s coupled off. We’re still the only ones who know it, though. Not that we’ve been trying to keep it from anyone. It just hasn’t come up yet, and I don’t think either of us has been in any hurry to pop our bubble—where we can just enjoy our little secret.

“Dick…dick, it’s a dick!” Derek exclaims. He lies stretched out on the love seat, his legs in Hayden’s lap. Hayden and Cody have their arms along the back of the seat, slung over one another. We’re divided into teams for this game of charades, love seat versus the couch.

Jackson stands between the coffee table and the big-screen TV, his hand cupped as he makes some sort of stroking motion.

“That would be a really big dick,” I note.

Jackson groans before shaking his head and tensing his jaw.

“Pretty sure you can’t make any sounds, Papa Bear,” Frankie calls from the kitchen.

He slipped away to refresh some of the snacks we have on the coffee table.

“Don’t make any sounds?” Derek asks. “I hope you and Evan don’t have that rule…because that just ruins half the fun.”

Jackson takes a breath like he’s trying to soothe his frustration about how shitty his team is doing at guessing his card.

Jackson starts making the motion again, when Derek’s eyes go wide. “I swear, the only thing I can think of is dick.”

“No surprise there,” Travis quips.

“Hey, your team can’t talk while we’re guessing!” Derek points to Travis, who’s tucked into the corner of the couch. Gary leans on him, resting his hand on Travis’s chest while Travis has his arm around him, gripping Gary’s bicep.

“I think we get an extra point for that,” Derek adds. “Maybe two, if we count Evan’s cock comment earlier.”

Jackson waves his arms, trying to get his teammates to focus and guess. He looks real frustrated right now, and I imagine he’s going to take all that frustration out on Derek’s hole later tonight.

Lucky Derek.

“Jackson, just keep going,” Cody says. “We’re guessing. Okay, guys. Remember the first clue was a baseball bat…so baseball and then…”

Jackson starts again.

“Okay,” Cody continues, “I can’t help you. It actually looks like a really big dildo.”

Jackson growls and throws his head back.

The timer app on my phone, which I set on the coffee table, goes off. I lean forward and press the off button when Jackson calls out, “A rod. This is what it would look like if you’re grabbing a rod, that’s in the ground. I figured that would get you to A-Rod.”

“Alex Rodriguez,” Cody tells Derek, who still looks totally lost, which really, so was I.

Derek flips his wrist and shakes his head. “I’m gonna just assume this is some sports thing.”

“Are you kidding?” Cody asks.

“Look, there’s only one sort of rod I’m interested in.”

Frankie’s snickering as he sets a fresh bowl of cheese nachos on the coffee table before he plops down beside me on the couch, hooking his arm around me, seemingly without even thinking about it.

While Derek makes space on the love seat for Jackson, he shifts his gaze to me and Frankie—like some sort of power bottom superpower zeroing in on us. “Okay, seriously, Frankie,” Derek pipes up, “if you get much closer to Evan tonight, you’re going to be inside his ass.”

“Is that a problem?”

I blush.

I’m wondering if Frankie even wants people to know yet, because I sure as fuck wouldn’t mind, but before I have a chance to think any more about how he feels, Frankie says, “I don’t feel like my boyfriend would have a problem with me being inside his ass.”

A silence follows like everyone’s trying to process the bomb Frankie just dropped.

“Yeah,” I add. “I definitely wouldn’t have a problem with my boyfriend being inside my ass.”

“Holy shit,” Hayden and Cody say together. They turn to each other and smile before Cody quickly blurts out, “Jinx.”

“You fucker!” Hayden spits out. Cody forces a kiss on him, which Hayden eagerly receives.

“About fucking time!” Derek exclaims, sighing as though he’s been exhausted with us for not hooking up sooner.

“Wait. When were you going to tell us this?” Gary asks as he sits up, keeping his hand on Travis’s thigh.

“Hold up,” Frankie replies. “Do you and Trav get to judge anyone about when they admit they’re in a relationship?”

He’s obviously referring to the time they pretended to be in a relationship for a few months before they really got together, something I’ve learned more about since I became friends with these crazy, but totally lovable guys.

“That’s not fair,” Travis says, stepping in to defend his man. “Technically, we were out as a couple way before we were really a couple, so…”

“You guys are all weird,” Derek insists. “Me and Jackson…it was love at first sight.”

Jackson rolls his eyes. “Just admit that you only wanted to sit on my dick.”
