“Hey, I got a woman. You don’t need to explain the mind fuck to me.”

Tracker laughed. “It’s a mind fuck for sure.”

“It’s good shit, though,” Curly added. They neared the women and Spec, who were seated on the blanket Brooke spread out.

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Curly gazed at Brooke with so much love in his eyes, Tracker half expected little Cupids to fly out his ass. Even after almost a year of watching them together, seeing the hardened MC president, who spent a good chunk of his life behind bars, so smitten with a woman still surprised Tracker. “It settles something inside you. Sounds like a line from a sappy movie, but Brooke makes me whole. Not sure what the fuck I’d do if she dumped my sorry ass. Don’t throw away the chance to experience it, no matter the roadblocks.”

Curly slapped him on the back and then picked up his pace while Tracker slowed to process his words. As the prez reached his woman, he set down the cooler. Brooke’s smile practically reached her ears. Growling like a hungry panther, Curly snagged her around the waist and yanked her to him. Brooke laughed, but it was cut off as her ol’ man kissed her like he hadn’t seen her in two weeks instead of two minutes.

“Thought you said Jo was coming.” Liv’s statement tore his attention from the lovebirds. Barefoot, she leaned her back against Spec, who had his arm wrapped around her chest with his hand cupping her shoulder.

“She is.” Tracker set down the cooler in the sand. “For now, we need to be careful about being seen together in town, so she’s driving herself here. She’s about five minutes out.”

“Great. I’m looking forward to getting to know her better. We had a great time getting pedicures the other day.”

Tracker shifted his attention to Spec. Surprisingly, he wasn’t scowling or grumbling murderous threats.

“He’s good with it, too,” Liv said, reading his thoughts.

“Yeah?” Tracker appreciated Liv’s input, but the question went to his brother.

Spec nodded. “Yeah, man, I am. She’s proven herself by helping with Lock’s situation. It’s badass of her to risk herself for him. For you. That makes her good in my book.”

Damn. Curly had accepted her, now Spec. Having his brothers’ support bolstered his confidence. Despite the challenges, maybe they could pull off a relationship.

After they finished unpacking the food, everyone grabbed a beer and settled into the beach chairs. Being a sneaky little minx, Brooke only brought three chairs, which meant the ladies were snuggled up on their men’s laps.

“Oh, look, there she is. Hey, Jo,” Brooke called out as she waved.

Tracker immediately searched her out over his shoulder.

Her smile and relaxed posture settled any lingering unease in him. Jo didn’t appear overly nervous about hanging out with his family. She waved back and veered in their direction, flip-flops dangling from her hand.

Damn, the woman looked good enough to eat in short denim shorts and a fitted crop top, showing off about an inch of her stomach. Had they been alone, he might have charged, knocked her over, and had his way with her right there. Unfortunately, his brothers and their kinky women would probably enjoy the show a little too much.

“Look at him,” Spec said with a laugh. “Whipped fucker’s practically drooling.”

“Be nice.” The sound of Liv whacking Spec made Tracker roll his eyes until he heard Liv whisper, “Or at least get it out of your system before Jo can hear it. I like her.”

Spec’s laughter deepened, and as Tracker flipped him off over his shoulder, it practically became a roar.

“Hey.” Jo waved again as she came into earshot.

“Hey, Jo,” Liv said. “So glad you came.”

“Hi, Jo,” Brooke said.

The guys mostly grunted their greetings. Tracker leaned forward to stand and greet her when Jo said, “Don’t get up. You look relaxed.” She sidled up next to his chair.

“Hey, baby,” he said as he grabbed her hand.

The open smile she gave him had him wishing he’d told his brothers to fuck off with their offer to hang at the beach and spend the evening in bed with her.

“Hey.” The slight breathless quality of her voice let him know she felt the same way.

“Here, want a beer?” Brooke pulled one from the cooler and held it out to Jo, who took it with a nod of thanks.

When she returned to him, Tracker tugged her hand. To his surprise, Jo settled on his lap without hesitation. The conversation continued around them, so Tracker took the opportunity to kiss her neck. “Missed you, baby,” he whispered in her ear.

She shivered as she relaxed into him. “You saw me this morning.”

“Almost ten hours ago. That’s a long time to go without touching you.”

She turned until their noses brushed. “I know what you mean. Kinda wishing you could touch me more right now.”
