“I doubt it, but I don’t want her dating anyone anyway.”
“Relax, she’s twenty-two already. She needs to date.” The oven goes off, letting me know to stick the food inside and as I do, I hear a fuss coming from the carrier. My little Lizzy has the cutest little cry.
“Well, I’ll see ya this weekend. The baby’s crying.” I end the call and turn on my camera to steal a picture of my whimpering little girl before scooping her up in my arms. She settles down, but she’s searching for momma with her mouth. “I got those, baby girl, but they ain’t gonna feed you any. Trust me I want some of your momma too.” I find her tiny pacifier and use it while I wait for the oven to ding.
Singing to my sweet pea as I rock her gently in my arms, I stare with wonder at the little precious gift we made. Slowly, she falls asleep and then I set her back down, so I can start prepping dinner. The shower went off about ten minutes ago, so I’m betting she’s lying down for a good thirty-minute nap. We have it timed so well because it helps.
Just as everything is set up, I feel soft hands slide around my waist. “Just in time. How was your nap?”
“Perfect as usual. Thank you.” I spin around and tip her chin. “You are the one that needs to be thanked. You’ve given me this great family that I’m so thankful for. I feel like this house is now a home and I can’t wait until I knock you up again.”
“Surprisingly, me either. I’m looking forward to having a handsome son just like this daddy.”
“Thank you for letting me be obsessed about you.”
“I live for it. Now kiss me quickly before I have to feed the baby.” A wail comes from the carrier right on time like she heard her mother calling. “Maybe we should wait on the next one,” she teases.
“Nah. The sooner we have them all the sooner, they’ll be out of the house, and we can run around here naked all day.” I wag my brows up at her as she sits in the chair with the baby on her engorged, scrumptious `looking breast.
“You’re crazy.”
“In love.”
“Forever.”
