He rolled his eyes. “Like hell. He has a thing for you.”

That was true. His agent had hit on me one time he thought Axel and Julian had been out of ear shot.

That had definitely not gone down well. Julian almost fired him on the spot, not to mention all of the yelling and threats that gotten thrown around because his agent had touched my lower back.

I had learned to move past it, but Julian and Axel? Yeah, no. They wouldn’t let me be around him anymore.

I leaned up to kiss him as he answered the call. “Love you,” I told him.

He flashed me a sexy grin. “Love you, too, babe.” He slipped from the kitchen, his phone to his ear.

Axel leaned back against the counter and pulled me back against him. “Holden, didn’t you and Lana make something for Auntie Alli?” he asked.

“Yes!” they both squealed. I watched as they took off running to their room for the painting they had done to congratulate Alli on passing her test and graduating pharmacy school.

Alli stood up off the floor. “How have you two been?” Axel asked the couple in front of us. Christian wrapped his arms around Alli’s waist from behind and nuzzled her neck.

He was so perfect for her.

She shrugged. “We’re great.” She beamed up at him. Christian smiled down at her and pecked her lips.

“Caiden and I want another kid, but she’s being stubborn as fuck,” Christian teased her.

She shook her head, a small smile on her lips. “They aren’t pressuring me.” I knew Christian well enough to know that he would never do that, and Caiden? The man was protective as hell of her. Everything between the three of them was at her pace and on her own time. They’re first child had been a complete accident, but the two men had never turned their backs on her, even during the times that it was hard to love her.

I smiled at her. “I kept telling you they were good for you.” She blushed and giggled as Christian nipped lightly at her earlobe. “You deserve every bit of happiness, Alli.”

She smiled. “They are good for me—the best,” she agreed, smiling up at Christian. Every chance she got, she tried to remind both of them of how much she loved them both, and it was sweet. “I’m just not ready for more kids right now, and they respect that.”

Axel nodded. “Good. I’m not so old that I still can’t kick your asses,” he warned Christian, but he was teasing. “She’s got two brothers always standing at her back.”

Christian rolled his eyes. “You know I don’t pressure her to do anything but to be great,” Christian reminded him in all seriousness. “I know you’re worried about her getting pregnant again after the first baby, but it was an honest fucking accident.”

I pressed my hand to Axel’s abs. “Just reminding you,” Axel said quietly. “She hit a bad low because of it.”

“Axel,” I warned. He looked down at me. “Don’t. He never turned his back on her, and unlike me, she never had to go back into the center. He and Caiden were able to help her. They’re married now. Christian and Caiden know what they’re doing. Stop being an ass, or I’ll have Julian come down.”

When Alli had gotten pregnant a few years ago with Christian’s baby, she had spiraled—far. But Christian never left her side, and Caiden eventually joined them. They both stood strong by her side, loving her when she was ready to end it all, to call it all quits because she was so tired of being in the dark.

They both healed her.

“My ears are burning!” Julian called from the office. “Stop talking about me!”

“Hush, Daddy!” Lana shouted.

I laughed as my little girl rushed into the kitchen with a squeal, Julian running after her. He swept her up into his arms and began to tickle her, making her squeal even louder. Holden wrapped his arms around Julian’s legs, sending Julian toppling to the floor, though he managed to angle his body to keep from crushing Lana beneath his huge, muscular frame. “Run, Lana!” Holden shouted as he grabbed her hand and took off running with her.

Julian winked at me. “I think we have a future football player on our hands.”

I rolled my eyes. “Are you going to let a six-year-old bring you down?” I asked him.

Axel barked out a laugh as he rubbed his hands over my belly. Julian grunted, pushing himself off the floor. He pressed his finger to his lips. “I’m stronger than Daddy,” Holden boasted.

Julian snickered before he rushed out of the kitchen. Holden squealed a moment later. “Run, Lana!” he yelled.

“Jesus,” Alli said with a laugh as she dropped into a kitchen chair. “How do you deal with all of the yelling?” she asked me.
