“Can you fucking focus?” Talon snaps.

I grind my teeth and tuck the heated memories away in order to focus.

“I’m thinking,” I reply in a huff. “She doesn’t look all that familiar. We don’t know anyone with purple hair, do we?”

“What if it’s a wig?” he muses.

“You ran your fingers through it. I’m sure you know what a wig feels like.” I press the heels of my palms against my eyes for a moment before dropping my arms with a sigh. “We need to talk to Lucian. He’ll know who she is.”

“Do you think he’ll actually give us that information?” Talon lifts a brow. “You know how he is about client privacy.”

I shrug. Lucian’s confidentiality agreement is one of the best things about this place, one that allows us to remain protected whenever we decide to have a little fun. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Once we explain the situation to him, I’m sure he’ll understand and make an exception,” I say. I can only hope that our relationship with him will work in our favor. As long as the woman remains a mystery, we’re at risk of being exposed.

The last thing we need is to have our dad on our ass about “corrupting the family reputation.”

Talon and I make our way back into the club. We weave through the people milling about on the main level as we make our way to the hallway holding the offices. My feet move on autopilot to Lucian’s office, Talon knocking firmly on the door when we approach it.

“It’s open!” Lucian calls out from the other side. Talon looks at me, and I nod, both of us entering the office. Lucian does a double take when he realizes it’s us, his eyebrows raising a little in surprise.

“Did something happen?” His gaze bounces between the both of us. “You guys should be upstairs, correct?”

“Who’s the girl we paid for?” I ask, cutting to the chase.

Lucian stares at me for a long moment.

“You know I can’t tell you that.” He leans back in his seat and folds his hands in his lap. “We have a confidentiality agreement for a reason.”

“Yeah, well, this is special circumstances,” I say through gritted teeth. “You know we can’t afford for anyone to find out that we’ve come here, let alone find out that we paid to take someone’s virginity.”

“And they won’t.” He shrugs nonchalantly.

Talon takes a single step forward in an effort to try to diffuse the situation before it escalates. “We think the woman might know who we are. She kind of freaked out when Tristan used my nickname, so we need to know if she’s someone we need to… deal with.”

“Basically, we need to know who she is to ensure she doesn’t come back and try to blackmail us for a bigger payday,” I say. “So we need her name. Now.”

Lucian sighs deeply, the passive expression on his face never wavering.

“You guys know the rules,” he simply says again. “We don’t tell the women your names, and we don’t tell you theirs.” He leans forward and shuffles some papers on his desk. “Besides, she didn’t get any money, and she has zero proof it was you… unless you didn’t wear your masks. I’m sure it’s nothing.”

“She’s not a risk I’m willing to take,” I hiss.

Frustration bubbles underneath my skin. We aren’t going to get anywhere with Lucian. His confidentiality agreement is a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing when it works for us, but it has quickly turned into a pain in the ass when we need information. I run a frustrated hand through my dark hair as I think.

Talon glances over at me, his eyes seeming to question what to do next. Then, a thought comes to me.

“Negotiate a new deal with her then,” I say. I can feel Talon’s confused gaze on me, but I keep my eyes trained on Lucian.

He raises an eyebrow as he regards me. “What makes you think she’ll want to do this again? Didn’t she use her safe word?”

“She only used it when we were trying to get her to take her mask off,” I mutter. “Renegotiate a deal with her and tell her we’ll pay her double the amount she would’ve made today for two hours.” I suck in a breath. “But this time, we do it downstairs.”

No one says anything for a while. There are all kinds of stories that surround this place, and the majority of them involve the lower level of the club.

The level that’s known simply as Hell.

The upper level, where we originally were, is Heaven. Everything on that floor of the club is light and consensual, with rooms to play out every kink under the sun. But Hell… that’s different. Dark. Dangerous.

There are no limits, no rules, and no safe words when you go down there. There’s a joke among members that Hell is where the damned go to play. There are people who’ve gone down there and have never been heard from again, people fulfilling their darkest, most violent fantasies on both willing… and unwilling partners.
