“Anything for a day away from all the family,” Hollis grumbled as he sat in her chair and closed his eyes. “Okay, I’m ready.”
Ian met B’s eyes in the mirror. “Hollis’s whole family came for the wedding, and we have a houseful. It’s pretty hectic.” He laughed. “Last night, his sister asked if we planned to start a family right away.”
“Do you?”
“We’re still discussing what we want, but it will definitely be happening at some point. I want kids. Badly.”
B had never wanted children, and he was perfectly happy with the decision. He briefly thought of Ricky and wondered what he wanted. Did B care? Was he really starting to fall for the guy? He thought of his sleepy smile that morning, thought about the way he held B during the night.
B was definitely getting attached.
“I’m loving having Hollis’s family here,” Ian announced.
“He’s even eating my mother’s casseroles,” Hollis said as he leaned back and let Cynthia smooth the scrub over his face.
“They’re actually good,” Ian admitted. “Your mom has perfected her casserole-making.”
B loved a good casserole, especially when it was extra cheesy. “Come with me and I’ll wash your hair,” he directed after running the clippers over the necessary sections.
Ian followed him to the sinks. B got him situated, noting how attractive Ian was as he lay back. He was slim, with elegant features and long, dark eyelashes surrounding deep, brown eyes.
“So, tell me all about your wedding? What are your colors?”
Ian suddenly sparkled with excitement. “Blue and white. You should see the flowers. They’re so beautiful.”
“If I ever get married, my colors will be pink and something. I haven’t decided on the other color yet, but pink for sure. I just love it.” He puckered his pink glittery lips.
“It looks good on you, too.”
“Don’t I know it!” B began washing his hair.
Once he had him back to the chair, he noticed Ian watching Hollis get a facial, his bottom lip between his teeth as he obviously held in laughter.
Hollis, on the other hand, looked all kinds of uncomfortable, his body stiff as he let Cynthia do her thing. The big ex-cop had his hands out flat on the table as if he were trying to hang on to the world or maybe ground himself in reality.
“First facial?” B asked him.
“I’ve never even been in a real salon.” Hollis barely moved his lips as he spoke. “I usually go to a barber.”
“Your skin will feel all supple and wonderful when that facial is done, you’ll love it.” B got to work on Ian’s hair. “Tell me more about the wedding.”
Ian launched into details, talking a mile a minute, and B happily listened as he kept glancing at Hollis, who was now gripping the sides of the table. Cynthia shot B a grin as she started removing the scrub.
Out of the corner of his eye, B saw the salon door open, and a policeman stepped through. After a day with some of the most attractive men he’d ever seen, B was surprised to note this guy was something else. Black hair, cut short in a fade similar to Ian’s, framed a square face with a smooth, sculpted jaw. Full lips were twisted into a stern expression that pulled B away from Ian.
And why was the cop carrying a bag?
“You missed all the excitement earlier,” B said as he approached the man. “Other cops already took away the bad guy.”
“I’m here for Hollis Banner.”
Hollis, face now clear of scrub, frowned and looked the guy up and down. “I don’t recognize the uniform.”
“You Hollis Banner?”
“Yes.” Hollis stood and walked toward him. “What is this about?”
“Your friends at the precinct sent me. Congratulations on your wedding.” And with that, the man pushed Hollis down into a chair and grinned. He pulled a boombox out of his bag and turned it on.
“Hot in Herre” by Nelly began playing loud.
B’s hand flew to his open mouth as the cop began to gyrate, his hands going to the buttons of his shirt.
One of his coworkers squealed and Ian started laughing.
B set down the shears and relaxed against the counter to enjoy the show.
An impressive chest was slowly revealed, muscles rippling across his abs and pecs. A pair of gorgeous biceps were next as the shirt fell to the floor. The guy’s hips rolled and thrust to the beat as he stared down at Hollis with a heated look. B glanced at Ian to see if he was picking up on that expression, expecting to see a bit of jealousy, but Ian was too busy laughing and clapping.
Stripper Cop turned and stuck his ass out as he rolled down his pants. He was wearing a bright-blue jock, leaving his taut cheeks bare and… Oh, my God what a fantastic ass the man has. Almost as good as Ricky’s.
