“Mmmm, now there’s an idea,” he murmured. “But first let’s check on your progress.”

He got out from behind me and went to the end of the bed to examine the rose. I bit my lip, waiting for the result. The rose looked healed from where I was sitting but maybe—

“Fuck! I knew it!” Liath’s excitement was palpable.

“What? What is it?” I asked anxiously.

He came back onto the bed with me, holding the rose.

“Look—I told you that you have magic!” He showed me the rose which was as fresh and blooming as the one he had healed himself with pleasure. “And look at this…” He twisted the stem and I saw that there was another blossom growing from the side, right beside the first one—it was as red and fresh as the other and it most definitely had not been there before.

“Oh…” I touched the silky petals with one finger. “Are you sure you didn’t help me do this?” I asked, looking up at Liath doubtfully.

He shook his head firmly.

“No, baby—this was all you. You healed it perfectly—but I’ve never seen anyone cause a dead rose to bud and form a new bloom like that. Told you that your magic was going to be something special.”

“But how can making a rose bloom help me find Quill’s murderer?” I asked, feeling troubled. “It’s a nice trick, but I don’t see how I can use it to defeat a killer.”

“You’re trying to run before you can walk,” Liath said practically. “You just found your magic—now you have to train it. And that might take a little while.”

I looked up at him, my heart pounding.

“Does that mean we’ll do more of this? More touching. More…coming?”

He gave me a lazy smile.

“Count on it, little bird.”

“In that case…would you like me to help you with your shaft?” I asked again. I was extremely interested in his male equipment—I wanted to touch him intimately, as he had touched me.

“Mmm, you’re a curious little virgin, aren’t you?” Liath rumbled. “Yes, I think you can help me. Would you like to learn how to touch it?”

“Yes!” My heart started beating even harder. “Yes, I want that, very much,” I confessed rather breathlessly.

His eyes went half-lidded.

“And would you like to be my good girl and learn how to suck it? Suck my cock to get the cream out?”

A moment before I had been feeling completely sexually content but now I felt the tingling and heat start between my thighs again. I pressed my legs together, trying to ease the ache.

“Yes, please!” I murmured demurely, looking up at my new husband. “Please teach me how to suck your shaft, Liath. I want to be your good girl every way I can.”

“There are lots of ways to be my good girl, sweetheart and I’m going to show you every single one,” he promised. “But let’s start with this…”

He taught me how to handle his long, thick shaft—how to curl my hand around it and stroke it, though my fingers wouldn’t fit all the way around his thickness. I learned to suck the head too, exploring the little slit at the top with the tip of my tongue for a taste of what he called his “precum”—a clear liquid that flowed out before the actual creamy cum was released when he came.

I loved his dark, spicy, masculine scent and the way his shaft was so hot and hard in my fingers…and yet the skin was silky smooth when I rubbed my cheek against it. I couldn’t get much of it into my mouth—it was too thick and long. But Liath didn’t seem to care. He stroked my hair and praised me as I pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses up and down his length. He even let me handle the large, heavy balls which hung beneath.

“Be very careful with those, little bird,” he growled hoarsely as I weighed them in my hand, fascinated by his male equipment. “They’re extremely delicate.”

It made me smile to think of any part of my big, muscular husband as “delicate” but Liath assured me it was so. In fact, I got the distinct impression that he was trusting me by letting me touch and handle him there.

As I touched him, I could see the little sparks of pleasure coming from him—just as I had seen my own sparks when Liath had been teaching me to touch myself. I wondered if I could use those sparks to work magic too, or if only my own sparks would work. When I asked Liath, he rumbled,

“Why don’t we find out?”

We paused for a moment and he got another dead rose—he had gathered a whole bundle of them for practice purposes—and set it in the vase. Then I went back to handling him to make the sparks fly—literally.

“All right now, little bird,” he murmured, putting his hands behind his head and nodding down at his fully erect shaft. “It’s up to you—see if you can make me come and heal the rose at the same time.”
