I’ll just wait for the kids to find out who where and when to get involved. If this person, whoever it is, is just killing off pedo child trafficking assholes, no one is touching them, period. I’m more likely to give them a reward and shield them from the law, which I’m pretty sure will be the case with every man in the room.
I don’t mind telling you how pissed I am with this shit. It seems no sooner have we dealt with one of these assholes than two more crop up, like fucking two-headed snakes or some shit. I’m starting to wonder if the whole world isn’t made up of these sick fucks because they seem to be in every damn thing.
I’m getting myself all worked up for no reason, or maybe it’s so I don’t think about the heavy shit Mancini just dropped on all of us. Flanagan is still trying to calm his woman down, and she seems receptive after a while of him working his ass off, but I could’ve told him that that shit wasn’t going to last. Or maybe he knew since he was looking at her the way I do Kat when she or one of her spawn is up to some fuck that’s bound to get me fifty to life.
Mancini had the good sense not to tell her who exactly offed her mom when she asked because there’s a good bet she’d have been back on a plane headed their way. If I had any doubt about her ability to pin a motherfucker to a wall with an arrow before, seeing her in action as much as she tried to hide has wiped those doubts clean. She did it.
I was just settling into my two-minute power nap when I heard Logan from across the room. “Hold it! We’ve been in this room for hours; anyone thought to check in on the women?” There were a lot of grumbles and movement, and I popped one eye open to see each of them either fiddling with their watch, which seems to be the spy on your wife and kids device of choice, while some did the same with their phones and some had other devices. Amateurs!
I closed my eye with a slight smirk. I’ve known where Kat’s ass was every second since we got here. If she even moves from her chair, I would know. I like Mancini fine; the guy has come through more times than I can count. But there’s no way I’m trusting my woman’s safety to anyone, especially in a strange place. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve been here or will be here in the future, anywhere that’s not my home is strange.
Elena and the pothead were out on the patio or verandah whatever the hell it’s called down here, along with Cy and my in-laws who I dragged here to get their old asses away from that death flu and whatever else these assholes got going on. They were watching Cody run around outside. The trips had worn their busy asses out on the flight so were fast asleep, Mengele was off somewhere corrupting these people’s kids I’m sure; not my problem.
Caitiebear I’m pretty sure was on her computer doing wedding shit since Todd the fuck was here with me and my three oldest boys so he wasn’t sniffing around her. Once the men found their women, they went back to brainstorming. Mancini walked back into the room, and I felt the air change. This fuck is always up to some fuck. I popped that eye open again and honed in on his slick ass.
“Jason and Track are on the right track, no pun intended, so now we can turn our attention to the next issue on our list.”
“And what exactly is that?” Creed asked as Arianna left the room, making a wide berth around Mancini who didn’t seem to care. Guy has ice in his veins. Then again, I guess he’d have to, to deal with this bunch.
And he expects me to do this shit in a year. People ought to do their homework before they go making offers like that. There’ll be nothing but dead bodies laying around messing with my ass. I don’t have the patience or that smooth shit Hank has to deal with assholes the way he does. And I sure the fuck wouldn’t trust the system that fucked up in the first place to fix shit.
“Our wives have been up to something for the last little while.” He finally got around to answering Creed. Every man came away from the wall with a ‘what now’ look. “Brandon, this concerns you most of all. I’m sure Law told you that your wife’s dad is running for president. It will be announced any day now. You may or may not know that she’s been trying to figure out how to get in contact with him.”
