“Fuck,” I said, looking down at the bits of crystal on the floor. “You shouldn’t have taken that drink in here with you.”

His eyes looked me up and down hungrily. “Lot of things that shouldn’t have happened in here,” he said, his voice a low growl.

“They’ll never happen again,” I said quickly, my heart panging.

“They won’t?”

I held my breath, staring at him as he leaned back against the wall, his lips still slick and kiss-swollen, looking at me like he knew me better than I knew myself.

And I couldn’t stop. My lips were on his again in another moment, my body snapping to his like a magnet.

I moved to slowly kiss the side of his neck, breathing in his scent.

“Seems like you say a lot of things that aren’t true these days, Sebastian,” Henry uttered. I was being greedy. I was an addict who hadn’t gotten a fix in years.

“Spend the night,” I said, the words tumbling out of my mouth, seemingly under no control of my own.

“What?”

“The princess was already going on about how she wants you here for breakfast. Stay.”

“I’d thought you were taking me into this room to banish me from Frostmonte Castle for the rest of eternity,” he said. He laced his fingers through my hair, holding the back of my head as I kissed the skin above his collarbone.

I was lost in his scent. His warmth. His skin was so soft here, so different from his callused, workman’s hands.

“I was,” I murmured. “I still should kick you out. But you’re right. I like secrets.”

He tipped my head back, looking in my eyes. “I don’t,” he said.

I let out a long breath, pushing my hands underneath his suit coat, gripping the sides of his body.

“I know you don’t,” I said. “But things are… different for me.” I was too drunk to form better words than those.

“So you have to keep all of the things most important to you secret?”

“Some of them. Just tell me you’ll stay the night?”

My eyes met his as I reached for one of his hands, clasping it in mine. I brought his palm to the front of my pants, dragging it across my cock.

“Fuck,” Henry whispered, swallowing hard as he felt my erection through my pants.

“Stay,” I said, “and I’ll come up to your room.”

“You had better,” he said. “I’m not finished with you.”

He squeezed my cock before letting go, pulling in a long breath as he watched me.

I pulled in a quick breath, smoothing out the front of my suit and attempting to stand up straight.

“I’ll tell Genoveve to ready your guest bedroom.”

Henry

I had expected Sebastian to be different now that he was fully absorbed in the life of a prince.

The fact that he acted like kind of a prick? Predictable. His flair for fancy food, clothes, and furniture? All very expected.

But I hadn’t expected that Sebastian would have become a red-hot fucking firebrand when he had pulled me into that room. He wasn’t the shy, hesitant, innocent person he’d once been.

Sebastian was… sensual, now, for God’s sake. And he wasn’t afraid to use his body. Everything inside me had been screaming, knowing that it was a bad idea, knowing that kissing Sebastian could only lead to bad things. I was so full of white-hot rage and it only made his mouth feel better against mine.

I’d been so turned on I couldn’t bear it. The idea of Sebastian coming to my room for more was as intoxicating as it was maddening, and I just wanted him to get here already. A fire was ripping through me, and I didn’t want it to go out.

I waited in my guest quarters for him, checking my phone every ten minutes for the time. There wasn’t much cell reception in the castle, and after a while I had to fill the minutes another way.

I stroked my cock for a while, unable to ignore the fact that I was hard as a diamond. Every time the image of him pinning me to the wall flashed through my mind, I came far too close to coming. I wanted to save it for him.

I was so desperate. And he had been hungry, too.

I stopped myself from touching my own cock, breathing deep and trying to do anything else. I looked out one of the teardrop-shaped windows, down at the villages below, the glowing lights scattered like tiny jewels in the horizon. I inspected the bookshelves at one side of the bedroom, history books about royalty lineages and empires and also, for some reason, a collection of old, weathered Nancy Drew books.

“Well, what the hell,” I muttered to myself, pulling out one of the books. I cracked open the first of the hardcovers and lay back on the bed, trying to lose myself in the story.

The sound of wind rushing past the old window woke me up some amount of hours later.
