The twins took the opportunity to take their things upstairs, except for one of the shopping bags.

After mixing a few strong drinks and filling a small bowl with nuts, chips, crackers, and a thick slice of some French cheese, I returned to the couch with a packed tray and took a seat in the corner.

By then, Luke was wrapping Kit’s toes with a thin, three-ply jute rope with pretty rough fibers.

“How bad can it be?” the boy asked.

I chuckled.

Then I threw a couple chips into my mouth and nodded at Shay. “C’mere, boy. Let’s get your toes tied up too.”

Reluctance rolled off his shoulders as he sat down next to me.

I grabbed one of the rope boxes, then unceremoniously lifted his legs across my lap, causing him to yelp. “So what did Tate say about this wonderful little game?”

“Well, he didn’t call it wonderful, for starters.” Shay adjusted in his seat and leaned back on his hands. He didn’t look comfortable one bit, which I assumed had something to do with his bruised ass. “He said it’s the type of predicament bondage that slowly drives you fucking insane until you’re ready to sell your soul for a break.”

Luke and I chuckled.

“But it’s just soft rope between the toesies…?” Kit didn’t get it yet. Bless him.

Shay’s foot twitched as I began circling the thin rope around his toes. Over and under, over and under, over and around. Rinse and repeat, back and forth.

River and Reese returned when I was halfway done, and they helped themselves to the drinks I’d mixed on the tray.

“Plenty of snacks over there too.” I nodded toward the living room. “I think Luke hit up every cheese store in DC.”

“Cheese is good.” River turned and headed off.

“For the record, Kit has similar limits to Shay tonight,” Luke mentioned. “Colt and I only ask that no one punctures his skin.”

Correct. Our boy had a strict plan to make sure his skin remained hydrated. After the accident and all those months of recovering, laser treatments, skin transplants, he still had to use special lotions and fat creams on a daily basis. It was why I wouldn’t let just anybody beat him. The spot mattered, the implement mattered, the force mattered.

“No worries, little one,” Reese said. “I’ll be on CBT Express duty tonight. I’ve been practicin’ my grip all day.”

“Lord—Luke, you’re gonna have to set up the camera to catch everythin’ in the doorway,” I said.

Luke snorted softly. “It’s not a video camera.”

It fucking should be.

Kit squeaked. “Wait, isn’t CBT cock and ball torture?”

“You catch on quick.” I nodded. One last over-and-under, and then I was done with Shay’s right foot. “Only one to go, sweetheart. You can put your sock and shoe on this one.”

“That’s gonna press my toes together,” he argued.

“You catch on quick too.” I bobbed my head to the beat of the Christmas tune in the background.

Reese merely grinned and took a swig of his cinnamon whiskey drink.

An hour later, we were just waiting for Gael and Macklin. Luke and I had moved out into the kitchen to follow Rosa’s instructions, and Lucian and Greer had offered up their slaves to assist us in the kitchen in the basement. So that was where Archie and Cam were currently keeping an eye on the first turkey and a few of the smaller dishes.

I popped open a window and took a swig of my beer, then turned on all the hot plates on the kitchen island. Luke whipped the mashed potatoes a bit more and added butter, and in the meantime, we had Kingsley and KC telling us their subs’ reactions to Tied up Toes.

As a reaction whore, I appreciated this a whole lot.

To no one’s surprise, Noa complained the loudest about his itchy toes. Tate was bitching and trying to stay still in the living room.

Speak of the devil…

Noa poked his head into the kitchen and glared at us. “I will fuck you up for this, Daddy!”

KC threw a disinterested glance at his boy. “Oh, will you?”

I snorted. “We already know you’re all hat and no cattle, little one. No need to make it any clearer.”

“What does that even mean?” the boy demanded. “I’m suffering here! My shoes were already tight!”

“You should’ve thought about that,” Kingsley noted.

Noa let out a frustrated growl and turned away again, only to walk right into a smirking River. Under the mistletoe.

“For fuck’s sake!” Noa cried out.

I laughed.

“Fancy meetin’ you here, brat.” River wasted no time. He trapped Noa against the doorframe in a chokehold and then—oh hell, he stepped on Noa’s feet. “Has your Daddy ever mentioned it’s nice hearin’ you scream?”

That’s exactly what Noa did. “Shut up, you gorilla! That fucking hurts! Oww!”

River chuckled and finished up with a kiss to the top of Noa’s head. “Go cry somewhere.”

KC grinned in satisfaction and finished his drink. “All right, I think I need to go sit down.”
