“Come here, wife, now,” he ordered.

Her eyes met his and their gazes locked in a magnetic embrace. She stood there, aware of the pulsating passion between them, drawing ever more powerful with each passing second. The air crackled with anticipation, heavy with the weight of unspoken desire.

Elsie did not realize she took a step, then another until she was standing in front of him, the potency of his gaze holding her there, unable to move.

He reached out, his fingertips gently brushing against her soft skin. She leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering shut, reveling in the tender caress and a current surged through him, further igniting his fiery passion.

Everything around Elsie faded away. Only this moment mattered. Only this moment existed.

With aching tenderness, Cavell traced the contours of her face, mapping the path from her temple to the curve of her jawline. His touch left a trail of delicious shivers in its wake, and he was reminded of the perfection of their first time together, thinking he had been a fool to wait so long to share such pleasure with her again.

He lowered his lips to hers and they met in a soft collision, a union of souls. It began as a delicate exploration, a gentle dance of vulnerability and trust. Their mouths moved in perfect synchrony, exchanging stolen breaths. The taste of each other consumed them, the sweetness mingling with a hunger that threatened to devour their senses.

He coiled his arm around her waist and yanked her to him, needing to feel her naked against him and he held her there, as if she were the missing piece of his existence.

The heat radiating from their entwined bodies was both a comfort and a provocation, stirring a primal fire that consumed Elsie’s thoughts and inhibitions. Never had she known she could ever ache for a man as she did now for her husband and never had she known she could love a man as deeply as she loved her husband.

With tender kisses trailing along her jawline, Cavell savored the softness of her skin, committing every sensation to memory. Her body arched, seeking the pleasure that only he could provide. His free hand roamed the slight curve of her waist, traveling down over her backside to give her soft cheek a squeeze, leaving a trail of intense need in his wake.

With a suddenness that startled her, her husband scooped her up in his arms and carried her to their bed.

He pressed his brow to hers and whispered, “I have an ache for you, wife, that I fear I will never satisfy.”

She brushed her lips over his. “Good, then I won’t wear you out since I feel the same.”

He placed her on the bed and stood a moment looking down at her. She thought she would feel exposed, vulnerable as she once did, but not this time. Seeing the raw passion for her in his eyes, she felt nothing but the unadulterated passion that she had for him and eagerness for it to soon consume them both.

He dropped down over her, the muscles in his arms taut as he kept himself hovering a breath above her. “My lips have missed the taste of you.”

She let out a gasp when his mouth began to leave a trail of tender and demanding kisses and nips along her body, starting at her breasts and working his way down. A collision of desire and ecstasy sent shockwaves through her, and her hands reached out to grip the blanket beneath her tightly.

He raised his head, a low, rumbling growl emanating from him. “I cannot wait. I need you now.”

She stretched her arms out to him. “I am yours. I will always be yours.”

His mouth captured hers in a rough kiss as if sealing her words as his knee slipped between her legs to spread them farther apart and she opened eagerly for him.

He leaned to the side a moment as his hand slipped between her legs and he slipped a finger inside her.

She moaned, eager for more than his finger.

“You drip with readiness,” he said, wanting to make sure he would cause her no discomfort.

“The very reason why you should not wait another moment,” she said, arching her body invitingly.

Cavell’s response was to slip over her, though he stilled once he settled his shaft between her legs. “Hold on to me, wife, I intend to make this memorable for us both.”

She gripped his arms, his remark firing her passion, eager for the memory.

He entered her gently at first, building in a rhythm she matched, that turned more demanding until his thrusts rocked her body, and she could not contain her moans of pleasure. They echoed through the room, and she feared they echoed through the keep. Still, she could not contain them, the intense pleasure would not allow it.
