Me: You’re such a good boy…a good friend being there for Corbin, but make sure you take care of yourself too…

Parker: Ugh, stop. You’re getting me hard. I hate that your praise gets to me so much.

I smiled. I didn’t hate it at all. It made me feel like a fucking king.

Me: No you don’t, beautiful. You love it. Don’t make plans for after work tomorrow. I’m going to spoil you and take you out for being such a good friend. You deserve it.

I started to worry I’d said something wrong when it took Parker a while to reply. Fifteen minutes had never gone by so slowly, three dots dancing the whole time.

Parker: Okay…thank you, Elliott.

And somehow, even though they were only four small words, I knew they meant a lot. That he’d agonized over them and maybe considered telling me no, but he didn’t because he liked this. He liked what we did as much as me.

I smiled. This was weird and confusing, but I didn’t care. I was going to keep doing it as long as Parker allowed it.

“A massage?” Parker asked when we pulled up at the small building. “But it says closed.”

I turned off my car and waggled my brows. “This is a special massage.” Parker’s eyes nearly popped out of his head, which immediately sparked my laughter. “It’s not a sex thing. We have to be good. This is my friend’s place of business, but—and this is probably something you should know about me, considering we’re married—I’m certified in massage therapy.”

“What? No way.”

“Yes way. It was a thing I did in college. I was being a brat and told my parents I was dropping out of school to become a massage therapist. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, they knew it was just me being an asshole. Anyway, it didn’t happen, but I did get licensed, and I keep it up because I never know when I’m going to be lucky enough to worship—I mean, massage—a beautiful man’s body.”

“Do this often?” he asked, brow cocked.

“Actually, no. This is a first. Hence why Jamie is letting me use her place on a day she’s closed.”

“Oh.” He cocked his head slightly, holding my gaze, looking for answers.

There was fear there too, so I leaned over and kissed him. “Stop stressing. I just want to see you naked.”

“Of course. But how is that fair? I want to see you naked too.”

“If you’re lucky.” I winked, and we got out. I heard the door unlock before it pulled open. “Hey, you,” I said when Jamie let us inside.

“Hey, you? That’s all you have to say to me?” She swatted my arm. “You fell in love and got married and I didn’t even know! You didn’t message me until you wanted to treat your husband to a special day!”

“Ouch. Be nice, woman,” I teased. “We wanted to protect this, is all. But he’s here now. Parker, this is my friend Jamie—Jamie, this is my husband, Parker.” I pressed a hand at the small of Parker’s back.

“Oh my God. It’s so nice to meet you!” She hugged him. “I can’t believe he got someone to agree to marry him.”

I rolled my eyes, but Parker grinned. “I think you’re my new best friend.”

“I think that’s a perfect idea.”

“Aaaaand time for you to go,” I said to Jamie.

“Ugh, fine. Don’t do anything that can get me closed down. Be good, have fun, and I’m so, so, so happy for you. I also love that you want to pamper your man. Why can’t I find a good guy?”

Parker said, “I hear you. Some of the stuff I’ve been through…well, before Elliott, of course.” He blushed a pretty pink that was both adorable and sexy.

“Wait,” I said. “Hold on. I’m gonna pull my phone out to record, and I’d like you to talk more about how awesome I am.”

“I didn’t say you’re awesome,” Parker joked.

“Incredible? Perfect? Sexy as fuck?”

He chuckled, then surprised me by putting his arm around my waist and leaning close, letting his head rest against my shoulder like he would if I was really his boyfriend or husband. “You’re ridiculous.” He looked at Jamie. “He’s ridiculous.”

“Yes, he is, and you guys are so cute.”

“He is, isn’t he?” I said.

“Oh my God. Stop. You’re embarrassing me.”

No I wasn’t. He fucking loved it.

Jamie took us to the massage room, showed me everything I needed, gave me the keys and the alarm code, and left us to it. She worked alone, so we didn’t have to worry about anyone else showing up. It was a large room, with a couple of chairs, a massage table, and all sorts of oils. The lights were low, just a soft glow. I sat in the corner and said, “Take off your clothes.”

“Aren’t you supposed to go out of the room for this?”
