Rogue kept looking back to check my distance, and that only slowed him down. The best thing to do when running was to stay focused on what was in front of you and make your way to your goal, but he was used to doing all his races on horseback. I had no doubt he knew all the rules when he competed, but I’d thrown him by wanting to play with him. He’d probably been expecting a quick fuck right there against the fence or maybe in his truck, but I wanted a hell of a lot more than that.

When he moved back to an open path, I closed the distance between us. I wanted to call to him, to let him know he didn’t stand a chance, but I wasn’t going to risk making more noise than his crashing through the trees had already made.

I forced myself to keep pace with him. I was going to bring him down, but I would do it close to the cabin. Once my body was on top of his, I wasn’t going to be able to wait long to rip his clothes off and find out just how good his skin felt against mine. I needed to be able to drag him inside easily.

I also wanted him to believe he had a chance to win right until the last second.

Was that evil?

Probably, but I didn’t fucking care. He’d known the score when he accepted my invitation.

We were close, no more than ten meters from the cabin.

Rogue put on a burst of speed, but it didn’t save him. I tackled him before he could reach the porch and brought him to the ground. He struggled, trying to free himself from my hold. I wrestled with him until I’d pinned his arms over his head. When he bucked, trying to throw me off, I used my full weight to hold him to the ground, positioning us so I could rub my cock against his. He was as hard as I was, and his sharp intake of breath made me smile.

“You’re mine for the night.”

He snarled at me. “I’ll keep fighting you.”

“Good. I like a challenge.”

He struggled more but just ended up rubbing our cocks together until we were panting from more than exertion. I rose to my knees and yanked him up by his shirt. “It’s time to go inside.”

“What if I refuse?”

“Then I’ll drag you there. I caught you, so I get to choose what to do with you, remember?”

I wrapped a hand around his neck and pressed just hard enough to make him try to suck in air. “I think you like that I won. I think you want to find out just how dirty I can be.”

“You’ve already shoved me down in the dirt after making me run from you. I get the idea. You’re fucking kinky.”

I slid my other hand from his hip to his crotch. He was rock hard after feeling me rubbing against his ass. The groan he let out when I gripped his shaft, sliding my hand up and down, made me smile. “You definitely like it.”

“Inside.” Rogue said the word like a command, and I tightened my hold on him.

“I’m the one in charge.”

“But you said—”

“Stand up.” I took hold of his arms and pulled him up with me.

I was sure I’d catch him again if he ran, but I was also sure he could have broken my hold earlier if he’d wanted to. He didn’t. He wanted to know what was in store for him in the cabin as much as I wanted to show him.

“Are you going to be a good boy and do what I say?”

“Holy shit.”

“Is that a yes?”

“I… I’m used to just fucking, not playing games.”

“I bet both of us have rarely had time for more, not recently anyway. Tonight, we do. Let’s enjoy it.” I took his hand. When electricity raced up my arm, nearly making me jump, I knew immediately that I was in as much danger as Rogue.

I glanced at him, and his wide eyes told me he’d felt it too. To cover up how much I’d been affected, I yanked on his arm, pulling him toward the cabin. “I’m getting impatient.”

He laughed, and the sound made my chest tighten. That was new, but it didn’t mean anything. Rogue was hot and intriguing, and this was a hookup, an indulgent night of sex with a man who turned me on. That was all it could be. If I pissed off Grant enough, he might tattle to X, and I couldn’t afford to have X upset with me. He was ultimately going to be my ticket out of the mess I’d gotten myself into years ago.

I pulled Rogue onto the porch harder than I needed to and shoved him up against the wall by the door. “Press your hands to the wall and don’t move.”
