“Come on, sweetpea.” Zane steps in, unable to handle the crocodile tears. “I’ll take you out to play on the swing set.” I swear my daughter smirks as her uncle carries her out the back patio door.
“You are so fucked, my friend.” Grizz walks up and hands me a beer. “That little miss has all you assholes wrapped around her little finger.” He glances down at the sleeping newborns. “Wait until these two learn how to do it from her.”
“You’re a fine one to talk.” Rulie looks at Grizz and raises his eyebrow. “I seem to remember you walking around here with pink rouge, blue eyeshadow, and cherry red lipstick last week.” We all laugh remembering that sight. I have a great picture on my phone that I’ll keep in case I ever need to blackmail my wife’s bodyguard.
“She pouted.” Grizz shrugs. “I couldn’t tell her no.”
“We’re going to work on telling Lacey no.” My wife walks up and wraps her soft arms around my waist. Hunger shoots through my blood, but I tell my cock to calm the fuck down. We still have twenty-nine days until the doctor gives London the all-clear. Once we get the go-ahead, I plan on reminding my wife just how much I love her curvy little body.
“I love you.” I pull London close and run my nose against her neck.
“I love you, too.” She lays her head back against my shoulder and smiles. “But it’s still your turn to change the next poopy diapers.”
I throw my head back and laugh. “I’ll do whatever it takes to make you happy.”
Holding her close, I glance around the room and feel my heart expand in my chest. All my MC brothers and their spouses are spread around the room. They all came out to celebrate the twins’ baptism with us, but I’m ready to throw them out and have a little alone time with my wife and family.
I had no idea how I’d survive retirement, but fate or Karma or whatever you want to call it stepped in and brought my angel into my life. Going from one of the biggest rockstars around to plain old Bender Valentine—husband, father, and Silver Spoon Falls High School music teacher—was the best move I ever made.
I spend my days teaching music and my nights making music with my gorgeous wife. Life couldn’t get any better than this. Well, a little boy would be nice.
