Daisy Rae's senses reeled at the huskiness that was suddenly coating his voice.

"But I was only being polite when I said I was inviting you for a drink—-" Heat glittered in his eyes, and Daisy Rae's knees threatened to give out. "—-since I don't plan to take 'no' for an answer."

Oh.

My.

Goodness.

Garion wasted no time in taking advantage of Daisy Rae's dazed expression, and he only spared Hilda a nod before swiftly whisking his future wife to the backseat of his limo.

Hilda could feel herself starting to shake in a mixture of rage...and lust. Since Hilda religiously kept herself up to date with the latest gossip about San Antonio's crème de la crème, she knew for a fact that Garion hadn't any serious relationship since his wife's passing. He had never even been pictured with a woman for years, so how the hell had a woman as drab as her cousin ended up getting invited for a drink by Texas' most eligible bachelor?

The fact completely pissed her off, and there was no way she was simply going to stand by and let fat stupid Daisy Rae have all the fun.

Hilda was about to scream her cousin's name like bloody murder when a hand covered her mouth shut.

"Is that Garion Ross?"

Hilda nodded furiously against her father's hand.

Nolan waited until the billionaire rancher had driven off with his niece before lifting his hand, and his daughter immediately spun around with a hiss. "Why did you do that?"

"Because you were about to start shrieking," Nolan answered in disgust. "No man finds a shrew a turn on, no matter how beautiful she is."

Hilda could only grit her teeth and slam the door shut behind her. "He calls Daisy Rae's boss Uncle Olsen," she ranted, "and it was rather obvious the old fuck had fed Garion lies about us."

"Doesn't matter," Nolan dismissed.

"What do you mean it doesn't matter?" Hilda screeched.

"A man like Garion Ross isn't someone you can have wrapped around your fingers just because you wish it. You need to be more methodical," Nolan emphasized. "We need to find out what he's got to do with your cousin, and work things out from there."

The doorbell rang again, and without Daisy Rae to boss around, the two were left looking at each other.

"Go answer the door," he finally ordered his daughter, and Hilda sulkily did as asked.

Nolan headed back to the living room and reached for his phone. His greed was already making him restless, but he knew he had to take his time to think things through. Garion Ross was no idiot, but Nolan was no intellectual lightweight either.

There was money to be made here, but he needed to make a couple of calls first.

Chapter Four

Daisy Rae snapped back to her senses at the sound of the door slamming shut, and she could only look around her in a daze. It was her first time to be in the backseat of a limo, and its plush cream-and-wood interior made her feel like she should have dusted her jeans off before sitting.

Am I really supposed to be here, Big Guy?

Guilt flooded her the moment the question popped in her mind. It wasn't like her at all to question His choices like that, never mind if everything about her current situation seemed too fantastic to be real. God always has His reasons, and she should've known better than to question Him. But as for Garion Ross, well...

Daisy Rae peeked at the man seated across her—-and was immediately caught doing so.

Oops!

The wicked glint in the billionaire's gaze made her catch her breath, and she could only be thankful there was just a bit of distance between them. Anything closer, and she might just expire.

He's just a man, Daisy Rae. Just! A! Man!

Garion's lips twitched as he effortlessly read the silent movement of Daisy Rae's lips. That she wanted to convince herself he was 'just a man' was cute. Patently untrue of course, but still cute, and so he would let the lie stand...for now.

A feeling of possessiveness surged inside of him as he let his gaze slowly roam over her lush figure. He could tell rather easily that her clothes were meant to downplay the huge size of her tits, but they still appeared attractively round despite her best efforts.

Uncle Olsen told him earlier that Daisy Rae had never dated, and it would indeed be better if that were true. Those breasts of hers were now his newest obsession, and while the thought of seeing them bared completely to his gaze had his cock twitching under his pants, the possibility that other men might've also seen her breasts naked made Garion feel savagely jealous.

Daisy Rae fought against the urge to squirm under the billionaire's gaze. Had no one told him it was not polite to stare, and more so at a woman's breasts?
