“I wanted to share the love.” Cash smirks.

“And you asked me to bring Milly to make sure I agree to your,” I make quote signs with my fingers, “suggestion?” I glare at the asshole.

“Pretty much.” He laughs.

“Where is Hadley?” I grumble, looking around for his wife and her twin sister, Kira. The two women own Petal Pushers, a floral shop in Silver Spoon Falls. After Cash fell hard for Hadley, Kira snagged Cowboy’s heart. It’s the Silver Spoon Falls water.

“Hadley and Kira are in town buying out the pet store.” Cash sighs. “I wanted to share the wealth with you before there isn’t anything left to buy.”

“You’re a goddamn saint,” I grumble halfheartedly.

When he turns to my girl and holds out his hand, I feel jealousy for the first time in my life. “Hello, I’m Cash.”

Milly stands with the puppy clutched to her chest. “Milly.” She takes his outstretched hand, and crazy emotions run through me. I hate the sight of another man touching my woman. Even my club President.

The puppy in my little peach’s arms starts howling, and she glances down to soothe it.

“Don’t worry, my friend.” Cash holds the puppy with one hand and slaps my back with the other one. “You’ll get used to it eventually.”

I look into his smiling eyes and raise an eyebrow in question. “It?”

“The fucking urge to kill any male within ten feet of your woman.”

“Good to know.”

While my girl plays with our new addition, I head back to my little house and grab my truck. We need to get some supplies for our puppy, and there’s no way I can have Milly holding the wiggling animal on my bike.

I pull into the driveway and look around. When I bought this piece of land bordering the Silver Spoon MC compound, I had no intention of ever finding my soulmate. Tired of living in the media spotlight, I decided to live simply. I built a tiny one-bedroom house with a large game room. It was all I needed. Well, my needs have changed. First thing on my list is getting Lynch to design a larger family home. We can build our new home and still live in the tiny cabin until it’s ready. Plans for the future begin to run through my mind on a continuous loop.

When I return to the ranch, I find my curvy little peach sitting on the front porch rocking the puppy to sleep. In my mind, I can picture her doing the same thing with our child. The vision sends hunger shooting through my body, and I vow to do everything in my power to make it happen. Quickly.

By the time we make it to FAO Pets, the only pet store in town, Hadley and Kira have done a great job of clearing it out. We end up getting the last bag of puppy kibble and several puppy teething toys. “How is mommy’s little Elvis?” My girl coos at the puppy.

“Elvis?” I have a goddamn dog named after the King of Rock ‘n Roll? Bender will get a kick out of this.

“He sings.” Milly lays her head against my chest, and I’m done. My peach could get me to do just about anything when she wobbles her lower lip like that. “I thought it was the perfect name.”

“I love it.” I fold like a cheap suit. Jasper, the store owner, snorts, and I glare at him before looking down. Fuck. Even the goddamn dog is looking at me with pity in his eyes.

After we settle the little shit into his brand-new puppy bed-slash-kennel, I glance down and see four missed calls from Lorenzo. “You watch our little one while I talk to my brother.” I kiss Milly’s forehead and notice trepidation enter her gaze.

“Don’t worry,” I reassure her. “I’ll take care of everything.”

When my brother answers, I gloss over how Milly ended up in Silver Spoon Falls with me. And how far our relationship has progressed. He’ll figure it out soon enough.

“I thought we agreed that you would come to Belldonnia for your formal introduction,” the stuffy asshole growls. “You aren’t following protocol.”

“Fuck protocol,” I tell him and hear my brother sigh on the other end of the line. “I’m in charge of our relationship.”

“Fucking pain in my ass,” Lorenzo grumbles, and I hear someone talking to him. “I have to go. Please keep me updated.”

After hanging up, I head back to the living room and find my little peach curled up on the leather sofa with Elvis asleep in her lap. The little fucker managed to get her to free him. I foresee a long road ahead, trying to train the spoiled rotten puppy.

CHAPTER

TEN

MILLY

Things start to move fast. I talk Rose into staying in Silver Spoon Falls permanently. One of the MC brothers is a surgeon, and he gives her a cushy job in his Silver Spoon Falls office. Then we find her a great apartment in a new development going up on the edge of town. Everything is coming together perfectly. She even ends up with one of the puppies and names her Princess, saying, “We can never have too many princesses in the family.”
