“Unless you want everyone in there to know what just happened to you-you should fix your face. And don’t forget what I said, I want you to think long and hard about why you should never say some messed up shit to me again. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“To…aren’t we going to Facetime?”

“No!” That’s all I said before putting the Ranger in reverse and heading back the way I came. I had another stake out tonight but that wasn’t for another few hours, so I went home and brooded. I missed her. Gonna have to come up with a new way to discipline my girl.

I felt like I was partaking in her punishment as well since I’d been left high and dry. But then a diabolical idea took shape in my head and I looked down at my cock and grinned. No reason moving forward that I can’t get my rocks off and still leave her high and dry. Now I’m really looking forward to her fucking up again. Hopefully some time in the distant future when I don’t have to take her back home when I’m done with her.

I spent a miserable night alone in bed after another bust at the stake out game. For the first time I truly realized how much a part of me she’d become. It was the first time in years we hadn’t fallen asleep talking to each other, since her face wasn’t the last thing I saw before I closed my eyes.

When I got up to go over there I wasn’t sure of my reception. I’d had some time to think during the night and was feeling kinda guilty about what I’d done to her. But then I’d remember how that shit made me feel when she said it and killed that shit.

It’s not like what she said was the worst fucking thing ever, but that shit can escalate. I let her get away with that shit now who knows what else she’d pull somewhere down the line. So I showered and got dressed to head over there.

Prom was later this evening but I still had shit to do with the guys before then. Last I heard her mom and aunts were taking her to the spa they’d gone to and somewhere to get her hair done; no makeup.

I think she was waiting for me at the door because as soon as I turned off the engine she came flying out of the house. I stepped out of the Ranger in time to catch my little flying monkey in my arms. She acted like I’d been gone for months the way she hugged my neck tight enough to break it. I’m not complaining though.

“I’m sorry Todd, even if I get mad at you in the future I’m not going to say that again, I’ll mind my words.” I held the back of her head in my hand with the other wrapped around her middle holding her close. “Good girl!”

Todd

She was clingy for the first hour I was there before the women dragged her off. “I’ll see you when you get back.” I kissed her nose and patted her shoulder before handing her off to her mom. We’d gone for a walk, had breakfast together with the family and guests and then sat outside on the swing in that hour.

I had barely made it upstairs and was headed to the office when my phone rang. I answered without first checking the caller ID since no one but my mom ever calls me this early, but was surprised to hear Jorgensen’s voice on the other end of the line.

“Hey buddy, how’s it going? I hear you’re going to the prom with little Caitlin.” I didn’t answer him because I wasn’t quite sure what it had to do with him. “Buddy you there?”

“I’m here, just waiting for you to tell me what you want.”

“Oh, sorry, you must be busy getting ready for the big day. Anyway, I’m having a party at my place for the after prom. I’d love for you guys to come, so would Shana.”

“You’re having a party for high school kids at your place?”

“Well…yeah, what’s wrong with that?”

“Oh nothing! Who all is going to be there?”

“Some of the old gang will be stopping by, and then there’s this year’s graduates of course, well most of them anyway. There’s going to be some premium shit being served but don’t tell the parents, shh…” He laughed uproariously at his own joke.

I didn’t say the first thing that came to mind because the guy I knew in the past hadn’t been a douche, not like what he was coming off as right this second, so I wanted to take a minute and choose my words carefully.

“I don’t think so but thanks, we’ve already got other plans.”

“Aw come on, do me a solid.”
