"I don't think I can."

I laugh, dragging up the crumpled blankets from the foot of the bed to cover her. "I'll bring you some water. Be right back."

After I pull on some sweats, I head downstairs and grab two bottles of water. My limbs are tight and sore as fuck already, but it was one thousand percent worth it.

The truth is, I've never had someone like Fallon.

She may not realize it, but she gives me a run for my money. Though I'm the one who sought out to give her five orgasms, I've actually never done that before.

It was a first for me, too.

When I return, my bed's surprisingly empty.

"Fallon?"

"In the bathroom, hold on."

As soon as she reappears, I immediately recognize what she's wearing and am tempted as hell to rub my hands all over her again.

"Nice shirt." Grinning, I hand her one of the bottles, then gaze down my favorite heather-gray work shirt with our Christmas tree farm logo.

"Hope you don't mind. I'm not a fan of walking around naked like you." Her teasing tone has me breaking out into a smile.

"Really? ’Cause I'd be a big fan of you doing just that." Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pull her into my body, then inhale her skin’s sweet smell.

"I bet you would be. Just like how you're a big fan of snuggling."

"Speaking of, are you gonna play your little game tonight of pretending to sleep in your bed before sneaking into mine and claiming it's because you're so cold? Don't get me wrong, I like this little back-and-forth, but I love it even more when you're next to me."

She playfully smacks my chest. "It's not my fault your furnace doesn't work."

"Yeah, what a bummer," I tease dryly.

"Wait...is it even broken? Did you pretend it was to get me into your bed?" She steps back, folding her arms over her chest as if she thinks she's onto something.

I pull her in closer. "No, I'm not that clever."

She gives me a side-eye. "I want to agree with you on that one, but I'm still suspicious."

I give her ass a playful tap, then walk backward toward the bathroom. "See you after my shower. Or at midnight...whenever you decide to join me."

DAY 7

Fallon wasn't in my room after my shower. She also didn't sneak into my bed in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to go to her or be left alone, so I stayed in my room and waited.

A part of me is disappointed she never came. The other part of me knows she's leaving in a week, and it's probably best if we don't get too attached.

Though I have a feeling it's far too late for that.

Since it’s Saturday and I have to work, I'll be leaving Fallon to do her own thing.

Dasher follows me downstairs, and I quickly refill his food and water dishes, then start some coffee and a cup of hot cocoa for myself.

As Dasher darts to the stairs, I see Fallon coming down. She looks like she got fucked into next week and back.

"Good morning." I smile as Dasher licks her.

"Not sure about that." She groans, wiping the slobber off the back of her hand. "I think that hard cider crept up on me."

I chuckle. "It tends to do that."

Though we both know the way she's feeling isn't just from the alcohol.

She sits on the stool and immediately puts her head down over her folded arms.

"Here, drink this." I slide a cup of hot coffee across the breakfast bar.

"Thanks." She lifts her head up long enough to blow on it, then takes a sip. "Mm. That's so good,” she murmurs.

"I still don't know how you can drink it without milk or sugar."

She shrugs. "When you're constantly working like I am or on the road, you learn not to be a basic bitch or you’ll end up disappointed. At least plain coffee is nearly impossible to screw up, unless of course, it's instant."

"You were picky the day after you arrived, begging for caffeine."

"It was a long journey getting here. Give me a break."

Smirking, I lean against the counter. Her dark hair is pulled up on top of her head, and tangled strands frame her face. I wrap some behind her ear, taking in how gorgeous she is.

"I, uh..." She averts her gaze to the floor. Then she blinks before meeting my eyes. "We should probably talk about last night."

I check the time and decide I'd rather be late than wait all day for this discussion.

"Oh, if you gotta go..."

"No, we can chat." I sit on the stool next to her and give her my undivided attention. By the expression on her face, I doubt her next words will be how mind-blowing last night was even though I know for a fact it was unlike anything either of us had experienced.
