“That’s it, baby,” Jason said hoarsely. “Work yourself off on me.” Clumsily, Jason reached for Abe’s hands. He pressed them against the mattress on either side of Abe’s shoulders, twined their fingers together, and gazed at Abe’s face as he pumped harder and faster, his hairy belly rubbing against Abe’s cock.

Both of them gasped for air as they slammed their overheated bodies together, taking and giving as they raced to completion.

“I’m there. I’m there. I’m there,” Abe said as his muscles tightened up. “Jase!” He arched and came, shooting hot seed between them.

As if in response to Abe’s release, Jason pushed in deep, held still, and groaned as his cock pulsed. He gazed into Abe’s eyes as he came, the moment so painfully intimate that Abe knew he’d never be able to describe what they’d shared as just a hookup.

When Jason stopped twitching, he leaned forward and pressed his mouth to Abe’s. The first kiss was tentative, but then Abe parted his lips, Jason slipped his tongue inside, and both of them moaned. Jason cupped both sides of Abe’s face as he slanted his mouth over Abe’s and twined their tongues together. Abe writhed underneath him, grasping his wrists and sucking on his tongue.

After a few minutes, Jason pulled away. “Damn,” he said breathlessly. He tugged Abe’s bottom lip between his teeth, licked it, and then smiled. “You’re a good kisser.”

“We can do it again,” Abe said, his heart pounding.

“Give me a second to clean us up.” Jason reached between them and held on to the condom as he pulled out. Abe shuddered at the loss and Jason gently smiled at him.

“You’re really cute.”

“Thanks.”

“Makes me want to fuck you again.”

“Charming,” Abe said, laughing.

Jason waggled his eyebrows and started climbing out of bed.

“You’re coming back, right?” Abe asked as he grabbed Jason’s hand.

“Yeah, baby.” Jason lifted their joined hands and kissed the back of Abe’s. “It’s still early.” He licked Abe’s wrist. “I’m not done with you yet.”

Jason walked out of the room and Abe mumbled, “You’re going to kill me.”

The toilet flushed, and then Jason yelled out, “How’s your heart?” as the water in the sink started running.

“Uh, good, I guess. Other than my asthma, my physicals are always clear. Why?”

“Just wanted to make sure we won’t have any death by orgasms on my watch,” Jason said as he returned. He climbed onto the bed and wiped the semen off Abe with a warm washcloth.

The act was so thoughtful, Abe’s heart clenched.

“I’ll make sure not to chase you around the room so fast you lose your breath,” Jason said as he tossed the washcloth aside. “That should keep us in the clear.”

“Thanks,” Abe whispered.

Jason lay down next to him. He traced Abe’s nipple with one hand and propped his head up on the other. “So. What do you want to do while we recharge?”

Abe scooted closer until their bodies were pressed together. “We could finish the game from earlier. I think it’s your turn to ask questions.”

“Sounds good.” Jason reached up and combed his fingers through Abe’s hair. “Did I prove myself enough to get a return invite?”

“Do you want to come back?” Abe asked, not sure what answer he wanted to hear. He’d be sad if Jason said no and walked out of his life. But if they spent too much time together, the inevitable end would hurt even more.

“Yeah,” Jason said softly, his expression a mixture of perplexed and happy. “I’m pretty sure I do.”

Chapter 5

NORMALLY WHEN the orgasm was over, Jason was itching to leave whomever he was with. But after two leg-numbing rounds with Abe, he hadn’t been ready to say good night. He stayed in bed, his arm wrapped around Abe’s shoulders and Abe’s head pillowed on his chest, and chatted with him about nothing until Abe fell asleep. Though he didn’t see himself getting serious enough about a man to live with him, like his cousin Asher had done, Jason couldn’t deny how much he enjoyed being with Abe.

The screwing was obviously and predictably good. The interesting and amusing conversations were somewhat unexpected but not a huge surprise considering Abe’s vibrant, if a bit shy, personality and Jason’s lack of human interaction outside of work. But it was the deep-seated satisfaction he felt when he held Abe in his arms that stunned Jason.

Was he so starved for physical affection that he suddenly enjoyed being in bed with someone with no purpose or goal? That didn’t make sense, because despite being single, Jason had an active sex life. He had always had a high sex drive. During his marriage, he had tried to keep it in check, tried to remain faithful, and failed more frequently than he succeeded. After Angela left him, he figured there was nothing holding him back. Though he couldn’t have most of what he’d hoped for in life, the benefit of divorce meant he could get laid whenever he wanted, and it was a benefit he took advantage of whenever he had free time. His physical needs were being met several times a week, so horniness wasn’t an explanation.
