“How much did you bid on this place anyway?”

“You don’t want to know,” I say with a chuckle.

She pops up on her elbow, suddenly alert as her soft brown hair tumbles down on my shoulder, tickling it. “How much?”

“You made me crazy that night,” I tell her, shaking my head as I remember how wild she got me. “I needed to win. I needed to be here with you, like this.”

“How much?” she asks with a big beautiful smile.

“A million.”

“What?!” she says before bursting out laughing. “For real?”

“It was for charity,” I say. “The children’s hospital, remember?”

She grins at me.

“But it was mostly for you. A million dollars for a month spent in paradise with you? Worth every penny.”

She kisses me hard and then climbs on top of me. It doesn’t take long before I’m rock hard again and she’s reaching down, guiding my stiff dick back inside her.

I moan when I feel her pussy sliding down on me.

Oh yeah.

This was worth every fucking penny.

EPILOGUE

Grace

Thirty years later…

We’re in our living room watching Miles—our youngest of four—playing his game for the New York Ogres of all teams (don’t get Nolan started on that) when the power goes out. Our TV turns black as the thunder rumbles outside and the rain pounds on our windows.

“There goes the power,” I say as I look outside. “Should we start the generator to finish the game?”

“Nah,” Nolan says as he gets up and starts lighting candles. “They’re up by three. It’s going to take a miracle for the other team to catch up, and besides, this is nice and romantic.”

I grin as I watch him pull out his phone and put on some romantic music.

He’s still so sexy. He’s fifty-seven, but he’s still got that big solid frame, those sensual eyes, and that smile that always makes me weak in the knees.

My man is long retired, and I’m almost there, working less and less at my graphic design company. The older I get, the more time I want to spend with Nolan it seems. And besides, we don’t need the money. That was taken care of a long time ago.

“Will you dance with me?” Nolan asks as he offers his hand.

I smile as I take it and stand up, sliding into his big arms. It feels so good to have these strong protective arms wrapped around me. It’s my favorite place to be.

We slowly dance to the music and I can’t help but smile with gratitude for being with my soulmate. I was once worried I wouldn’t find him, but I’m so glad I did.

He’s always leaving love notes for me around the house, bringing me flowers or little gifts, and doing romantic things like this. I love him so much.

We’ve built a wonderful life together, one that I’m so proud of and grateful for.

When the song is finished, we kiss in the living room. I grab his hand and grin as I pull him to the bedroom.

I still can’t believe this hot goalie is all mine.

He’s the top goalie in hockey history and I get to score on him.

How can you beat that?
