The way he peered at me was aloof and discerning, and he was selling the shit out of his role. He was the condescending, elitist professor, and I knew I had to up my game as the sexy student.

I walked around to the side of the desk and put a hand on the desktop, leaning provocatively toward him. “I was wondering . . .” My voice went sultry. “Are there any ways I could bring my grade up?”

He appeared confused. “Like extra credit?”

“Sure.” I grabbed the hem of my skirt and balled it in a fist, dragging the bunched fabric to hover over the center of my thighs. It made the side of my skirt lift just enough so he could see the lacy top of my stocking. “We can call it extra credit if you want.”

He inhaled sharply and sat up straight in his seat, his expression going stern. “No. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but I don’t do that sort of thing. I’m married, and you’re one of my students.”

“Yeah?” I turned my lips up into an evil smile. “Does your wife know how you look at me during class?”

He scowled. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

My smile widened into a full-out grin. One of the hardest things to do as an actor was to perform like you were acting, which Scott had just done masterfully. I nearly believed it, that he was the professor who lusted after his student while trying to pretend he didn’t.

“Yes, you do.” I moved to seat myself on top of the desk, facing him as he sat in his chair. My feet dangled over the side, and he risked a longing glance at my legs. “You look at me the same way you’re looking at me right now.”

His gaze snapped to mine, and his tone was full of irritation. As if he didn’t have time for a silly girl like me. “And how is that?”

“Like you’re wondering if I’m wearing any panties under this dress.” I placed my hands behind me, leaned back on my arms, and arched my back seductively. Then, I began to inch my knees apart. “Don’t you want to find out?”

“No,” he said quickly, moving to wipe a hand over his mouth. His gaze darted side to side, as if he were checking to see if anyone was watching, even though we were alone in his office. “Look, you’re a very pretty girl. If I looked at you inappropriately or if I made you feel uncomfortable, I’m sorry.”

“Why? I’m not.” I continued to part my legs. “I’ll only be sorry if you don’t put your hand up my skirt.”

“Stop that.” Only it came out strangled, like it was the last thing he wanted.

“Stop what?” I teased.

My knees were spread wide enough that my left leg was right in front of him, only a few inches from his hand that was now clenched tightly on the armrest. He looked up at me with a strained expression, full of desire he knew he shouldn’t act on.

“I think you should go.”

But his voice contained no power, and his gaze dropped again to my legs. The skirt was barely draped over my thighs, but I was still covered enough to leave him guessing.

“I think you want me to stay,” I whispered.

I shifted my weight so I was leaning back on one arm, and then set the hand I’d freed up on my thigh. Up I dragged, drawing my skirt with it. I moved painfully slow, revealing more skin inch by inch. His gaze was glued to the glide of the fabric, watching it like a trainwreck he couldn’t bear to look away from.

“Wait,” he pleaded. Agony and anticipation twisted in his handsome face.

But I didn’t wait. When I reached my hip, I curled my fingers around the skirt, pulling it up to show him I was totally bare underneath. When I’d been given the wardrobe yesterday, I’d asked Nina about the missing panties, and she told me to go without.

He sucked in a sharp breath and stared at my nakedness like a starving man who’d been shown a buffet and told he wasn’t allowed to eat at it.

I wasn’t shy, but never in a million years did I think I would be this confident. This bold. Scott had seen me naked more than once, but it had always been onscreen, so this felt like the first time. It was thrilling and empowering.

His breathing went shallow as he continued to stare at me. “This is highly inappropriate.”

“I know,” I cooed, “but don’t you want to touch me? Because you can.”

His gaze darkened and he turned bitter. “No, I can’t.” But, oh, how he wanted to. “I could be fired for this.”

“I won’t tell anyone,” I said seductively, “if you don’t.”

He was torn. His mouth opened to say something, to protest, but no words came.
